Cinquecento Emma's Turbo Progress Thread!

Introduction

Hey, as some of u may know my turbo cinq is in the middle of having an engine rebuild by my dad. This is the progress so far, and will add to this thread as things happen.

So far......
Port and poilsh and a bit of boring out nearly finished
the chance of me actually being able to afford to finish the engine anytime soon is slim though :(

by finish i mean getting the turbo fitted thats sat in my wardrobe at the mo!

anyhooo, this is going off topic - sorry!

Well i have good news, my turbo cinq is alive :D, started first time, and sounds sweet! Took half a day to get the engine fitted, then 3 days of fiddling around getting everything in the right place . Like getting intercooler remounted, air intake system rerouted, as you can see in the pictures. Swapping parts over from my other cinq, like lights, boot with spoiler, wheels, brakes, steering wheel, eibach anti roll bar.
There are a few things still to fit, so haven't taken it for a test drive yet, but will do in the next few days hopefully. Obviously insurance to sort out tomorrow before it goes on the road, then mot & tax!
Rolling road at the weekend, and all ready for Brooklands :slayer:.
Its been a busy old weekend, many thanks to my dad and my b/f Aaron for all the hard work and hours gone into this project to get it up and running :D ;) :worship:

Oil filter is off another car (likely a renault) to allow clearance for the turbo.

Great pics and work, hope you got your hands dirty too Emma?

Interesting take on the induction route, some bumper mods coming up?

Did you get rid of those stock brake hoses?

Yes i got my hands dirty, i was helping out where i could, mainly cleaning parts and the engine bay. I fitted my seicento mirrors, lights, spark plugs and ignition leads. I also sprayed and painted things like the ecu, brackets, arb and turbo badge.

I'm using the original bumper for now with bits cut out for extra air flow, while my joy tuning bumper is moddified with extra holes, thinking about putting the ornamental gaskets in it.

Yes the brake hoses have been replace, for stainless steel braided ones by Earls of Silverstone (y)

Looks good, but where is the intercooler?
Also, those wing mirrors need painting yellow! ;)

Just taken some pics of the engine bay complete and of the front with no bumper on to show intercooler clearer and the air filters new position!

Oh and an updated pic of my drive way, with Aarons car dumped here too, lol. My other cinq is round the corner out of sight.

PS Yes i don't have the dump valve fitted yet as haven't got a t piece tube yet to fit it on, but don't worry will be sorted out for Brooklands! ;)

well done everyone who made this turbo cinq come alive, i hope it is a lot more reliable than most of the other turbo cinqs :)

Turbo cars will be reliable as long as you look after them well, in fact that goes for any car really, look after them and they will look after you.

Whats the overall performance of these cinqy turbos?

Vanaaken quote around 104 bhp...
But i sure with a bit of tinkering its poss to get around 110-120 bhp out of them.
Figure quoted on paperwork for mine was 102 :)

low boosters are 85-90 bhp iirc :)

Emma, i'm well pleased its all come together! :slayer:
I'm close to vanaaken if u need any bits picking up ever (y)
