as was just mentioned in Jamie's thread there has been a lot of rethinking about my plans so here is an update:


Completed mods:

Black drum brakes

Mods to fit/complete:

Purple calipers

Why have you done the drums black and your doing calipers purple? They will look odd surely.

Why don't you have purple drums and purple calipers, it would be more in keeping with your colour scheme

two reasons why. drums arent such a thing to be proud of as discs. also the purple paint is more expensive (partly due to a higher temperature rating) i also got the black paint cheap and it came with brake cleaner etc

got my first badge painted. will give it another coat in the morning then mask off the chrome areas and spray the red area purple (2 coats) then will need to get some lacquer an will give it a good ten coats of that

Carl powers, My new tax disc is vimto purple and i hate it. My sky blue one was much better, for £120 i should be able to pick the colour.

the blacks still curing as its a bit soft. not exactly ideal temperatures for the paint. given it for coats of Tamiya TS-29 semi gloss black. got my lacquer on order and decided against the original purple as it was too light so will pick up some Tamiya TS-37 on saturday probably.

only done the grille badge so far as ra out of the black (only had a 1/4 tin).

but give me one min and ill get some pics.
