Well the inevitable happened today, took the missus to Corby to have a gander at a 500 Abarth and what a surprise she decided that we're getting one. Can you tell i'm reallllllllly disapointed?! :D Anywho just wondering if anyone on here knows what the waiting time is at the moment from ordering to collecting? Would like to have it in time for Christmas, but can't order until after July 1st. Is 3 months a realistic waiting time or am i looking at much longer?

Good choice (y)

3 months is prob about right. I only waited 8 weeks for mine, so you never know, it may come sooner :)

Don't think we'll be getting the SS kit.......nowhere to keep those damn wooden crates it comes in!

the same money will get you an alfa mito 1.4TB 155bhp veloce. its a lot more car for the money and better performance too.

alfa's pleasing sales figures of late are all down to the mito.

Am I the only person that has trouble keeping their guts in check when they see a Mito?

Looks sort of like a Cayenne had it's way with a Micra. Then during labour the poor offspring missed the doctors hands and dropped grille first onto the hospital floor.

It is a nice looking car, saw one in town the other day in Black, looked really smart. I had to choose between that and the A500, but the 500 won me over in the end, if I'd have gone for the Mito I would have always been thinking about the 500. The 135hp Abarth suits me down to the ground + I can imagine its a little quicker off the line than the Mito.

Si

I was choosing between those two cars, there is virtually no difference in the 0-60 times (8sec Mito 7.9 500) and not a lot difference in on board goodies. The veloce is 1.5k more expensive starting point than the 500 as well, for the spec I wanted it would have set me back an additional 3k over the 500(looks weird on anything but 18's). It has those stupid tusks sticking out the ruin the look for me, the lights are a bit meh but those just annoyed me. Hey ho a lot of people don't like the 500 so who am I to judge.

Oh and your missus has exceptional taste

I'm hoping there will be something sitting between the 155 and the new GTA with a slight facelift (i.e. those tusks) by the time I swap again. Either that or it will be the 147 replacement that's incoming.

mito is definately out of the question. Had a proper good look round one at the motorshow and without speccing it up with big wheels it looks a right dog. I don't like the interior nearly as much as the 500 either. Once the finance on the panda can be dealt with the orders going in :D Not going for many toys, just a stripe kit and upgrading the wheels for now. Can't wait until the moneys in the bank to pay :D

Excellent (y) You won't be disappointed ;)
