Mini roundabouts
They make me smile with amusement and fume with anger.
I treat them like any roundabout as per the highway code. i.e. give way and negotiate.
For me give way is slow down, possibly almost to a stop, and if another party reaches the entrance line then let them go. I'll stop and if they are also unsure I'll show then my hand waving them on. If no one is at the roundabout I'll take the effort to try and circulate around the painted dot in the road.
I hate the "straight liners" who are going across and give no care or priority to those who are entering from the left.
These straight line jockeys (illegal) have made life even worse because when I slow and stop to give way to the car on the right who reached the give way/entrance before me they just often sit there expecting me to just drive in. So we now have tow stationary cars with nobody going anywhere.
Now this will make you all smile.
2000+ BHP traction ring with 10, 50 or 100 concrete/metal block in tow. Also full video coverage especially on the side of the block. Approach mini roundabout and come to stop. As the straight liner storms in then before he/she reaches the give way line rev the engine, drop the clutch and put the big block in their path. The video alone of sheer panic etc. is a good seller.
No insurance issues either as the video will show that they had no intention of giving way and you enter the roundabout before them.
What really pisses me off is that whenever I've seen a marked police vehicle in a similar situation everybody backs off. This is a clear indicator that they know what they are doing and don't give a F unless they could be prosecuted.
I'm think of starting a "Rent A Mobile Give Way Road Block" business.
