Panda Twinair Enginebay Servicing
To gain access you will need to undo :
The small air feed hose.. 10mm Hex bolt..(like a horn bracket..just swing bracket)
Large feed hose .spring clip (tool required)
2 x 10mm hex bolts.. retaining airbox
Remove all of those and the air filter casing can be lifted free

I discovered the filter whilst accessing the wiper motor..
it was filthy..so tapped out worst of the ditritis, and sourced a replacement

With the Panda in 1st gear,
and chocks around the FRONT wheels.
I use a trolley jack on the centre of the rear suspension beam to raise the complete REAR of the Panda,
then I used 2 x axlestands - with wooden load spreaders on the 2 x rear sill / floor junctions (these have a large circular...
this is more awkward than technical.:eek:
place a trolley jack under engine sump pan,
using a plate of solid wood as a load spreader;)
take the weight of the engine, you do NOT need to jack up the car..it can remain on it's wheels.
however for access / better pics I've removed the RHS front...
here are the basics;
air filter and cam cover removed,
disconnect the electrics to the sensors on cam belt side,
and belt and covers.
then wiring trunking at rear of cylinder ( to injectors) and coil pack wiring
see the 2 x slots at rear of head..the trunking clips here,;)
then remove...
Punto (Mk2/2b)
Radiator cooling fan - budget repair - new fan unit
This operation may be simplified with the front of car raised @30cm / 1 foot:)
Open car bonnet, disconnect wiring plug to fan
undo the 4 x 7mm hex head self-tapper screws that hold the frame to the Rad.
( at the extremes of the "spider-legs")

you'll be looking at this because you have an issue..,
the idea of the Standardised EOBD 2 Socket is that an over the counter product can be used to read the Fault Codes stored in the Vehicles ECU - Computer
generally they are located where access is "tool -free"

Removing fluid from tank,
then lift tank from car.
NOT technical.. just time consuming:eek:
reservoir/tank + pump are generally located in the inner wing area.
before removing tank check pump doesn't make ANY sound..,
check fuses..!!;)
I removed the under bonnet...
the dash panel in our sample 55 reg Eleganza is secured by;
3 philips self-tapper screws along the top edge( clearly visible )
one self-tapper that is tucked down the LH lower edge ( door pillar)
once the screws are removed the panel is still "clipped" into the dash,
it Slides to the left(...
Few tools required..just a little patience
1,
feel around the base of the gear knob gaiter with your finger tips,
there is a plastic ring that attaches to the lower dash panel with a series of "spikes" / tabs,
carefully prise-up the plastic ring..all the way around..
( like removing...
tools you will need;
Trolley jack (2)
Axle stands x 2
Set of Metric Allen Keys
Set of Torx bits / keys
good selection of Metric Sockets / Spanners
including the "odd" 11 / 15 / 16,:(
a set / pair of "spring compressors" ( 2)
a Hacksaw / angle grinder ;)
also a pair of replacement...
