no one has suggested that getting a degree is enough to get you a graduate job. you need a good degree in a good subject, so more than half of graduates arent suitable for a graduate job. if you've got a 3rd class degree you've wasted your time getting it, if you've studied a pointless course then you've wasted your time as well. the simple fact is, if you get a 1st or 2:1 is a sensible course you are still only half way to getting a graduate job, the rest depends very much on your personaility, drive, ambition, skills and what you want in life. the figures and stats dont show that.

there are plenty of jobs for graduates, more than enough. the problem is the quality of graduates, employers needs more high quality graduates to compensate for the 50% of graduates that are useless.

working professional graduates all say the same thing, their degree was neccessary. you cant argue with that. if you want to be one of them you need to join the club.

my girlfriend is doing a degree but she has no intention of getting a graduate job afterwards, she wants an "easy admin job". getting a degree is something she wants to do for personal satisfaction and to avoid work for a few years. she'll make the grad stats look worse than they really are. she isnt unusual, many students are just looking for a way to avoid working, they wont ever make it to a professional graduate job.

I aint arguing, just will stand my ground.. i will get to where i want to be whatever... drive, ambition, and work aptitiute are all key factor in modern workplaces..

Oit well have less of that safari works great and the banners are a much smaller size than Internet Explorer only damn thing that keeps crashing on my Mac is Illustrator:bang:. Thats just cos im so damn quick the computer cant keep up.

I studied an Institute of Legal Executives level 3 National Diploma when I was 16 at college, and passed that luckily, which gave me the equivalent of 3 a levels..

Im now doing the ILEX level 6 Higher Professional Diploma, which is the equivalent to a degree, Got 3 years to go and then I will be a full qualified lawyer

Just have to hope I pass, my first exam is in 5 weeks, I have one a year..
