Also when people have a tomtom etc positioned in the very centre of the windscreen, FFS just put it in the lower RH corner and be done with it

Not strictly. The blower is beside the mesh, the grey things behind the mesh are the carbs.

when i got my car i had 3 for about 2 months didn't notice any difference

The thing that I hate the most on cars is a gadget you buy that sounds like a dump valve when you change gear. You hear them coming from a mile away, look round and it's a 1984 Nova with some acne raddled youth at the wheel showing off for his chav girlfriend. That combined with a dustbin for an exhaust

He decided to demonstrate his superb control of the brake pedal by skidding to a stop at a give way line on a T-Junction
then managed to stall it So me and my old man who was staggering home gave him a round of applause quickly followed by the fingers from him and his G/F in the passenger seat pissing herself with laughter blowing the horn and clapping along with us (feel sorry for her really as i wouldn't like to think i was a passenger in a car where the driver is been a tit)
