I came across a thread about OMP Strut braces for the GP posted about 6/7months ago. Just interested if anyone has one and has any feedback?

I looked into the OMP one as I quite fancied it as a cheap upgrade and I found some pictures of it installed, however it sort of goes the wrong way and seems to brace against the inner wings rather than the struts, cant see how it helps and may cock up the crash safety structures etc.

thats not the omp one, same shape but it looks welded in!

I thought Strut braces fix to the top of the suspension?
Look closely. It is red, but sprayed black
am i completely not understanding but i thought they bolted on to the suspension bits not near the headlamps? when you go on the website they show you a pic of one bolted onto the suspension bit ours is hidden under the plastic near the wipers how can it be a strut brace?

yes they usually 'brace' the top of the suspension 'struts' hence the name strut brace.
if you look on the GP though, the tops of the stuts are under the scuttle panel.
This one looks to me like it will affect the crumple zones of the car!
Usless imo. Strut brace is to help eliminate suspension geometry changes by bolting across the strut turrets.All this will do is ?? well can't think of anything actually. Maybe they fitted it the wrong way round lol
