i was bored so felt like washing the vimtohearse.

the simplest wash ever: rinse/ rub down with hot water (not too hot) and a wash mitt, then shampoo (used tescos eco shampoo and wax) with a hot shampoo solution, then rinse down a gain but with warm water to rub the wax in, then sloose with cold water to set the wax and finally rub down with a micro fiber mitt to dry.

I wouldn't be touching the paint with a mitt without some shampoo in the mix!

your mum will wonder why the car sounds louder once you fit the kit

and of course you wont see the swirls when its semi-dark.

i can just blame it on my dad

(long story)

all i need is peace to fit it then once its on ill be fine. she just doesnt like the idea of me with my head under the bonnet

Mum racer! got to love it! lol

she actually is though thats the funny thing.

but tomorrow the plan is to fit my gsr,

Well we will see wont we??.....and while we are on the subject how are you going to get it on the axle-stands?? 2 days ago you didnt have a jack!!!

Your stories carry more holes than a welders T-shirt :D

So you put warm water over the car and then "washed" it with a washmitt with no shampoo?

no no read again. washed it first with a washmitt and hot water, then did the same but using a hot shampoo soloution, then washed with hot water and a washmitt again (to get the wax off the windows and remove excess shampoo) then sloosed with cold water to set the wax and dried it with a micro fiber mitt.

no no i have two jacks; a trolley jack which wont fit under the gp and the standard scissor jack that comes with the gp although this is bent so if im not careful slips when jacking the car up.

Carl, you really need to think before you type, other wise your gonna get sharp shooters like Sledge n Matt attack you for what you say!

so ive noticed:bang:

Why would you do that? Its utterly pointless way to wash your car. Why bother washing with just water and then washing with shampoo after and then with hot water after?

The first with washmitt and just water is utterly pointless. There is no need for it regardless of what you are using shampoo wise.

honestly its the best method.

a pre-rinse with a washmitt helps loosen up any dirt before i use the shampoo. as otherwise the wax seals over the top of the dirt and gives a crap finish as well as not actually cleaning the car properly.

Carl?
See if you can rearrange these words to make an understandable sentance.....

In you world are own your a of. (y)

:ROFLMAO: where did you come up with this double hard rock solid method?

certainly not detailingworld, thats for sure :D

once again you have just proved how stupid you are!

shampoo helps to lube the washmitt and lift dirt OFF the car, so it minimizes scratching.

the point that it is "wash&wax" is irrelevant, since its designed to do both things at the same time... only just not as good as dedicated products...

oh my, this is just comical, hope you can pull some more gems out of your ass before you grow up!

No it doesnt :bang:

If you are putting a washmitt with just water onto dirt on paint you are just dragging the grit across the surface of the paint.
