To much "GOING to get this, that and the other" but less "DONE this, that and the other"

ive got quite a few bits now and a free weekend so will see what i can do. first itll be a damn good wash, refit my footwell leds and wire them in then fit my bootlight and boot tidy and go from there.

It was nice and warm back in the summer when you first said you were going to do it :D:D.

Admit it Carl, you a dreamer, all talk and NO action.

well yes ok it was. im just lazy.

*waits for the no money line*

not this time.

got £200 sitting there and £450 to go in.

Dont use the silicone blade/squeegee thing.

ill try it on my dads van and see what it does

hey theres nothing wrong with having ideas and intentions :)

It was my intention with all of my cars to modify them extensively... although the only one i have modified properly is the current one, and half the plans for that have been shelved cos i realise what a waste of money it would be.

precisely

i am modifying this and will get at least soe of my list completed. how ever long it takes.

on the vimto logos he cant do them anyway but hes got the purple vinyl on the way for the side stripes.

and i got a good price as well :)

......almost right, you have forgotten to say that in this case ie. the fitting of larger wheels the forces involved are reversed.

I know but it keeps it nice 'n' simple ;)

everyone needs to calm down with the carl bashing. its hes money he can do what he wants with it. some people wont like what ive done to my cento but i couldnt care less what they think(y)
also hes idea is very individual and unlike what anyone else has done (bit like what i do to my car) and i like that! someone has to come up with ideas.

Cheers

The silicone blade will scratch the paint gaurantee you 100%.

Im not knocking him for having ideas as i have them aswell and have stuff planned for mine which i dont have the money for. All i am saying is that i dont go making 1000's of posts adding more and more and more stuff to do before i have done my first lot of stuff i have planned to do. This has put carl in the position he is now because he says hes gonna do something and it doesnt materialise. He will then come back a week later saying he is gonna do something else again. This then doesnt materialise. That is why people (me included) start "carl bashing" as it comes accross as bull**** about what he is gonna do.

the punto brakelight cover is coming off for a start (i agree it looks chavvy and crap)

:yeahthat: finally is the penny starting to drop. Hate to say it but told you so :D

there the blue lidl bulbs which are e marked so they are legal

I sought legal advice before fitting my side lamp bulbs as they are blue, and was told exactly that, as long as they are e marked then they are legal.

Once fitted though they don't actually shine blue, they just look blue when not lit.

i was bored so felt like washing the vimtohearse.

the simplest wash ever: rinse/ rub down with hot water (not too hot) and a wash mitt, then shampoo (used tescos eco shampoo and wax) with a hot shampoo solution, then rinse down a gain but with warm water to rub the wax in, then sloose with cold water to set the wax and finally rub down with a micro fiber mitt to dry.

gives pretty good results in my opinion.

and all for :

wash mitt-£1

bucket-£1

Tesco eco shampoo and wax-£3 a bottle

micro fiber mitt- £1

total=£6

results as below:

love how you wash the car, then the pic are in the dark...:)

i took longer washing it than i planned thats why otherwise the pics would have been when it was still light.

ill get some better pics tomorrow and some of my bootlight, boot tidy, fotwell leds (when i finish wiring them in), interior light, indicator and sidelight bulbs.

but tomorrow the plan is to fit my gsr, finish fitting and wiring my footwell leds and give the interior a a good clean (vacuum then polish the plastic trim)

Carl, did you start washing at 10am this morning and you have just finished? lol Oh and the bloody hell have you taken pictures in the dark? Couldnt you wait another 15 hours till day light?

nope i started washing it about 3pm (been out all day).

better pics tomorrow.
