Technical Do I need to get my ECU reprogrammed/repaired?

Will need to check after work but I can tell you from cranking the engine that the dash dials for the fuel tank and engine temperature appear to be functioning as normal.
After some more tests checking the following:

Coolant temp reading 3°C
Ambient temp no data
Fuel pressure no data
Attaching screenshot of the rest

Great

In real time display if you click on add display

Depending on which version software it will either grey out what can’t be read or put an asterisk next to what can be read.

Ambient Air Temperature might be called intake temperature

I am trying to find engine sensors that should be read that aren’t

There no fuel pressure sensor and the temperature is unclear whether it’s looking at a air temperature reading which isn’t available on this model

Current barometric pressure or throttle posidition would be good but not throttle pedal.

Here's what can't be read attached

Throttle position can be read but is reading 0 on cranking (not sure if normal)

It's generic software so I've not set it to a particular vehicle or anything, I've just got the lite version

Ambient air temperature just showed up again with no data then dropped off as no signal again. I thought you said that wasn't available on this model?

Other 4 remained the same.

So we have no signal from the MAP or crank sensor sensor
So it seems.

I checked both crank sensors that I have (from new and old engine) and resistances were just shy of the ballpark given in the Haynes manual (but could be due to temperature)

Will have a look for the MAP now

Ambient temp is part of the MAP the other part is pressure

This model doesn’t have a superstructure temperature sensor under the wing mirror

Is there any part of the wiring that isn’t from the original car

Apart from the injectors which have there own small loom.
Nope.

Just looked at the intake air pressure sensor(s) and found them a bit gungy... makes sense as the throttle was full of oil when my partner buggered the old engine

Trying to find a connection between the three none working sensors

Aiir temp
Air pres
RPM

Just realised air pressure is missing from fiats wiring diagram

Going to check on the 500

Sure thing

I'm heading inside for the evening but will take any suggestions and give them a look tomorrow lunchtime

Out of curiosity, where are you finding the wiring diagrams? Wouldn't mind giving them a lookover myself.
