Yellow - FS Project Seicento 2

Unfortunately not available anymore on the saturday as I have to move a server for one of our clients out in Netherly :(

It wasn't doable anyway as there was no way I could be there for 11 am.

Moving on... I'm ok for most evenings next week except Wednesday and at present the following weekend is fairly clear too

Just a heads up that we're going to be using the rear gates to access the shed as campus is now covered with skips and stuff and it's just easier to do so. It also means we can come and go without bothering security more than is necessary :)

Not sure if anyone will see this in time but o2 is currently down in westhill so i am un-contactable. The battery is here if anyone wants to stop by and grab it. I have a lot to do today so unable to stop by.

Just in case you log in again Ransoman, Martyn and Martin are planning to stop by yours on their way to the shed. Understandable that you can't make it though and thanks for the battery

Hola.

Not sure on the parts situ yet - but today we changed the battery over and that got yellow to fire first time. Cheers to Ransoman for that and turning up with a spare shifter later in the afternoon. Also cheers to marti155 and Harper for their help.

Brakes/handbrake freed up but still very slightly hunting. Coolant temp sensor was swapped, but then swapped back as the replacement seemed to make things worse. A good thrash around the bottom car park at the start of the day and it was definately running a little better than I remember, so here's hoping..

So....yellow cleaned and ready to move. The suspicion is there's a bit of oil burning but we'll investigate that further. Tuesday night she'll be out in Alford. Hopefully :)

It's taken bloody ages to upload videos to youtube tonight but finally here's a couple of Yellow

@marti155 having fun in the car park

A wee bit more fettling, the state of Yellow before getting a bath plus an old favourite playing in the background

And finally an example of the completely random things you can find on my works campus

that has the loudest ticking engine i think ive ever herd in a cento.... has it got oil in it haha?

Nah mine was louder (before it was done) because all the shims were miles out, this one only sounds like one or 2 :D

Was one of the "to do" jobs when Daz had it, think i've still got a pile of shims of various sizes lying about that might work.

Fwiw, i think if a blank gets drawn, i'd be tempted to swap the head over from Fiasco's old engine (cam and all) if things don't improve and see how it runs like that.

Actually, there's a point, cam HAS already been swapped, and shims... one by one to ensure the correct order..... i now remember that was the last thing i did on it when i was last up there.

hmm.... requires investigation, check for oil indeed.

Ive got some 10w40 that could be put in if its thicker than whats in already?

The oil was changed last October and I doubt any of us can remember what was put in at the time. we did have a quick scout round the shed for empty bottles but suspect it was chucked in the clear out
