University Network

I've jsut started university and my internet isnt working.
We have a service called ResNet and its not working properly.

Basically i can connect to the local area network but not the web. (using the free wifi in the pub now). We were given an installation CD when we arrived that had instructions on it and i followed them to a tee.

The last instruction says that a balloon should pop up and say that the network requires extra information to connect you click it then a password box comes up and we put our account details in.

I get no balloon.

Ive tried to take it to the ResNet support guys but they never seem to be there. And there no help on the phone.

Bascially can anyone tell me is there a way to force start the balloon or the pasword box to access the internet?

I've not heard of that particular service but its probably due to your settings.
Double check the wireless encription settings - chances are it should be WPA TKIP - PEAP - Secure Password (EAP-MSCHAPV2)
ensure the Automatically Use my Windows Login and Password is NOT checked (if it is the balloon won't appear!)
