Things you hate on cars

Things you hate on cars

Was thinking he meant more like the giant Mugen Power things where they have the japanese script and the english underneath.

No. I meant the manufacturers badges

I find Japanese cars to be soulless tin boxes, driven - in this country at least - by old people, clueless learners, and scumbags...

Plus the car I've hated most that I've had to drive to date was a Nissan Micra - which a Fiat dealer gave me as an insurance loaner and all (n)

my pet hate isn't a mod a all, it's the tendency in modern cars to get a dashboard featuring acres of swoopy soft touch 'perceived quality' plastic and nowhere to put anything, or worse still hundreds of over designed places to put very small things.
dash design in the old Panda was absolute genius, love it!

I've got a really good combination that I hate...

Gold paint, a saxo badge, and when the contents consist of, oh I dunno? Chavs?

In all seriousness though, there isn't anything that I hate to see on cars, as to each their own, I see some people's car and think 'that body kit looks gash' - but I know it's the pride and joy of the person driving it. Equally I'm sure what I have done to my car is frowned upon by some, like my Abarth badges, but it keeps me happy lol.

If you pushed me to choose though, I would say dirt - I cannot stand dirty cars. - Unless it's a scooby, or possibly a range rover.

Case in point - the "step up" from Cinq dash to Sei dash - somehow lost interior space, storage space and gauges and imo it doesn't look or feel any better.

You're not Irish though.

The longer you live here the more you grow to resent Japanese cars. People buy them like sheep here with the "They're reliable" mantra stuck in their head - even when modern ones often aren't. They get ultra low spec models (nicknamed the "Paddy specials" by dealers here) which are designed to reduce vehicle registration tax. This means you get no interior spec, underpowered engines, general all round tanks of cars - and people still buy them slavishly! :bang::bang:

i agree completely.

but when it comes to jap sports cars.....

Well since ive posted but not contributed its about time me thinks.

I don't really "hate" anything on cars, but do have a few dislikes...
In no particular order...

1. Mismathcing colours, especially on kits, dont just spray the kit, just get the full car done! !
2. Baby on board stickers.. WTF! your gonna not crash into them cause you spotted the sticker a few milliseconds before impact??
3. Anything playboy.
4. Nasty / Cheap attempts to modify, gives all modifed cars a bad name.
5. Tax discs/parking permits way to far up/in too far.
6. flocking, refer to point 4, just trim in in suede ffs!

I agree I'm not irish!

I think same mentality same applies to any bog standard car a 1.9d pug 206 for example or its modern equivalent you look at it and know that the only thing in that persons mind when they bought it new was i'll save a few quid by getting one with wheeltrims, black plastic bumpers. I.e. that person doesn't care about cars and therefore i'm not going to park next to them because they'll probably crease my door while getting into their car and think nothing of it.

I hate badges on a car that shouldnt BE on a car.... :p

Flocking isnt cheap and it does look good on the right car.

Another one to add. People that have 4x4s with wheels on the back and then get a custom cover made up which has a picture of the dog, horse or cat etc on it. They are sooooooo tacky and look ****.

Yeah too true.

One of my hates is the "Playgirl babe inside" or something similar, 95% of the time their fat, wearing chav gear and got far too much make up on.
lol playgirl? aint that like playboy for girls? as in... nude blokes? surely that meens the person driving with that in the car is a dude? or an really ugly girl who cant get a guy?
