124 Spider (Classic)  Sacrilegious build.

Introduction

figured I'd share my build here as some may enjoy it...some not so much lol. I rescued a scrap yard bound, rusty, 1980 Fiat Spider and rebuilt it to house a built 351W, C4 and 9inch rear end. I left the exterior as I found it,as a nod to its former life. Everything else got reworked. I have lots of pics so if anyone wants a peticular pic lmk.
Wow, great restomod car! I'm interested in more pics of course plus some details of the car for the worldwide Spider Register.
I would like add the car plus your favorite pic! Thank you!
Cheers Ralf

From the shot I saw, it looks like you had to shoehorn that 351W in the box.. Did you have to mod the shock towers for it to fit and did you consider the 351C as well or was it the Windsor all the way?

Wow! Just came across your build and love the quality of your work, great job on the trim of the apron in front of the windshield..I have wondered how a small block chevy would fit, now I know it's very possible...hope you are out enjoying it now..

Further sacrilege ,
I went the other way round . This is a 2.0 injection 131 block with Delta 8V head going into a Triumph Spitfire .

Hi great work! Whats the VIn of your car? Would add it to the Register..
Thanks in advance.
Ralf

Looks like a really well put together conversion, a bit like what you Americans did to the AC Ace when Caroll Shelby built the AC Cobra out of a light weight European designed car.
How is the weight distribution, I see you have moved engine back as much as possible.
I recall driving MGCs after they fitted the straight six cast iron lump, they had a tendency to go straight on at fast bends when compared with the MGB, although modern tyres and suspension mods must make a difference.
