offer him 250 then... then you've got a set for when you have the money, you dont have to put them on straight away

reccon about £350 due to the purple if i take them the wheel specialist. quoted me £200 for four 17" in gloss black last time i looked.

he said he wouldnt insure them anyway so he might as well get them if he can get them cheap enough... paint them up without tyres (always best) then fit once he has enough money for insurance and tyres.

What happens if you wreck your suspension and its impossible to take them off, or worse, the car is impounded after a crash.

And why not just insure them and not bother with the refurb, no doubt you will kerb them anyway

*sigh* so if you have them on and you crash and you get taken straight to hospital as you are injured and you car gets taken away for inspection what are you gonna do then?

i say way more then 350. painting wheels just black is a piece of ****. bit of filler and rubbing down... primer then paint. to have them done like you paint shop ones they will need to do LOADS of masking. and have to go thru paint twice (one for the purple then black) if you was quoted 200 for just one colour then it will be at least 500

i retract my previous statement.

will have to see if my ma will let me get another quote on some alloys though otherwise it will February at earliest before it happens as my ma will not like having 4 wheels lying in the garage till then anyway.

Ive had my 500 alloys a year and they are as new, never touched anything with them. If you take care and put mirrors down on reverses you shouldnt have a problem.

why not save all the money you spend on mods and just buy a cheap car? Instead of having to run back and forth to your parents asking them for permission. Ultimately it is up to them if you will be putting alloys on the car. Time to get some independence.

I can't say I find your idea of painting Claws purple very appealing, actually I think it would be a shame to ruin them by doing that. Black or the standard colour would look good in my opinion. I do like you enthusiasm but not my cup of tea!!

replacement angel eye arrives in two weeks so in the meantime im leaving my lights alone etc.


black grill on the way. id have liked a merkur or powder coated zunsport but £200 is to much for a grill so just a normal black one for the moment.


pulled the vinyl off the door pillars. (pics in a lil bit all though im sure people know what tat looks like)


my paint to finish my badges (had trouble getting the right shade of purple) should be here Friday depending on customs.

will go the sign writers on Saturday for a quote on some new darker stripes and maybe some ff stickers to match then finally get my repair done durring he may holiay week (need the car for college etc now and ill be damned if paying extra for a courteousy car) so will get them to fit my stripes while theyre at it again (hopefully the right way round this time)

then when angel eye replacement arrives will orde my rear lights and get a quote from an injection molder for a clear center brakelight cover (can aparently be done but want pricing)


and as soon as stripes are sorted ill do my mirrors.


then for a little work on the interior.
