no them fans are blowing out of my pc. thus blowing cold air out and stopping dust getting in. there is not a spec of dust in my pc so suck it fool:p

It's not where the fans are blowing. It's the fact that the PC is right on the ground so will suck all the dust out of your carpet :p Check your heatsinks> Probably caked in dust if you've had it running on your carpet for a few months :p

nope no dust in it what so ever.

think about it there are fans blowing out of just about and hole in my case so nothing can get in unless it can force its way through a fan.

and when its not on it may gather dust but then it all gets blown out when turned on so lick my 9:p

LOL :D That's what you think :p

And no I won't lick your 9!

It is alive :slayer:

Although took me some time to get around to it  but I needed it done before the end of my tax year, 31st March ;)

Will give extended specs and pics later on, but I ended up going with:

Asus Rampage II Extreme X58 Republic of Gamers mobo :D

6GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 Triple memory stuff

Intel i7 920 cooled with a 'true black' thermalright ultra-120 xtreme

ATI 4870 X2 :yum:

A fair few case fans in there, 2 opticals, 3 HDDs, card reader - still want another fan I reckon, plus need to sort out cables once I am happy with it all

It is running sweet so far, on Vista Ultimate 64 bit - had no issues with the software I need to run.

Oh, and Flight Sim X looks and plays phenomenally! All I need to do now is buy a 2nd 24" monitor :) [I have one now as my main, buy my 2nd is only a lowly 15"]

(Looking at the specs of that machine - are you on ocuk? ;) )
No, well I have viewed as a guest, think I may have posted a thread on their ages back :chin:

Already started to tweak a few things - although at this stage I really need to get all my business data sorted!!! Just about to install 64-bit SQL server

Only bit of hardware that doesn't work is my old Canon scanner, but hopefully I have sourced in some 3rd party drivers for that.

Fair one! I was just trying to provoke a reaction

Although with your PC I think you should - it's better spec'd than most of the servers I have in work

Some pics :D

Glooooow

My SOHO ;) - new build on right, old build on the left! Running dual monitors, but set old build for VGA input on the 24", so can swap if needed.

You can see why I need another 24"er now :p

Wuss! Why do I want to run VMware when I have no need to run VMware....
I agree. I don't run VMware and don't need to run it either! I play games and browse the web. A lot of people can do a whole lot more without the need for VMware!

Just got myself a gorgeous 24" LCD the other day in the form of an SM2433BW and it's fantastic. Now my X1950XT 512 is struggling to cope with the resolution so I'm considering a HD4870, HD4890 (when it's released) or a GTX280 and perhaps a Quad Core as well.

Got any pics of the black ultra-120 extreme? Mine isn't black :( I want a black one!!!!!

:p

As for GFX, well so far the 4870X2 rocks, but the odd glitch I noticed in Company of Heroes - I await some new catalyst drivers, seems to be a common issues.

Found a nicer pic :p Part of me is tempted to get rid of my plain old ultra-120 extreme and buy a black one. Though I don't have a clear side so what does it matter? :D
