General New 4x4 Cross Underside

I noticed when washing the underneath of the car at the weekend that there are round holes just behind the front wheels and also in front of rear wheels. They are all on a flat part of the floorpan which look to be the jacking points.

The odd thing is that the front on both sides has the hole unplugged but the rear 2 have black plastic plugs in. The front 2 have really rough paint/underseal around the edges of the hole which looks like plugs have been pulled out.

Should they be in or removed for possible drainage?

All mine have looked like that. Nothing to worry about. Yes, they are where a two post lift goes to raise the car, and are where the body sits on the ‘dolly’ as it moves through the production line.

Just to be sure though, does yours have plugs in at the rear and not at front. Mine seems odd that half of the holes have plugs and half don't?

Yes - fronts not plugged but rears are. First photo is the front, second the rear.

Thank you, thats put my mind at rest, couldn't be sure why some were in and some out. I they are all like that I'll forget about it
