Hi

I have attached a photo of my car.

The light has gone (drivers side). I have circled it in red

Is this easy to replace and if so how?

Thank you

Drive to Halfords. Pay a tenner and a bit :)

Alternatively you can DIY via the wheel arch where you'll see a little panel at the front in front of the tyre that needs removal for access to the bulb.

I did the former!

I Tried that, (For a VW..)

Booked an appointment,

Arrived.. nobody available,
after 25 minutes somebody became available, got on their computer
" I am sorry we don't do that job"

I won't rush back..

Thank you so much. I will have a look at that. (this weekends job)

I will definitely do it myself. What bulb do I need? It is a Panda 4x4 19 plate
It’s called a P21/5w - often labelled ‘brake and taillight’ or Type 380.

Note the side pins of the bulb are slightly offset and it will only fit one way round. If it feels stiff and won’t turn in the holder, it’s the wrong way round so turn it 180 degrees.

Chances are the screws in the wheel arch liner are seized into the metal clips they screw into. Shocking use of steel on steel fixings in these cars!

Can reach mine easily from the top in 2014 4x4. This made me happy.

Have a nose under the rear of the headlight to look for the cables and bulb holder. Hopefully same access in yours!

Yep, that. Oh and a melted bulb holder (reassuringly expensive item, incidentally  )

It's why I let the young do that sort of stuff for me!

My only experience.. In 12 years of DRL use

My punto, got the Bulb Out message,

Checked.. Indeed it was, luckily on those it's in the indicator mount, in the wing.. Just a 90 degree twistcap/bulb holder

All melted looking, and a black bulb

Swapped left for right.. Fault moved

So bought a new bulb (it had been illuminated for 42,000 miles)

15k later, Warning appeared again

Anticipating a completely melted holder, and no circuit 🤔. Nope, the other bulb was out (factory fit..). Removed it.. Didn't look blown, so reinstall lled and all working

That was 3 years ago 🙂

So now covered 72k in 11 years

Factory battery, and Brakes

Just the one DRL bulb required...

I think that is acceptable wear and tear 👍
