Technical Highest Mileage?

just turned 135k, not been doing as much driving recently though.. shes got a few rattles here and there now but just silly interior niggles that can be tightened down. Cracked the plastic panel on inside of the boot (multiwagon) and it is rattling like a scaghead gone cold turkey but i shall fix that and all will be well

m reg toyota carina E 2.0 auto, on second cam belt! 130k....been serviced once every two years...in its entire life span its needed one shock absorber, passes every MOT, still gets to 100+ mph ....when the belt goes it goes, its worth nothing in resale, belt costs more than the car....as for my stilo, its still a baby @ 56k serviced regularly, and treated to everything it wants....its needed more than one shock absorber  lol

Mums 2001 Yaris is similar. 135k on the clock, passed every MOT, origional clutch and exhaust, new brakes and the usual and rear shocks and thats it.

to be fair Milo (my stilo) has never failed on anything major at all - its only really ever failed as i have not had the time to go over the car at all before dropping it off. Things that are going now are just to be expected on a car with a mileage as high as it is. Wire for horn corroded, a bulb or 2, odd bit of suspension (although not had any new shocks yet lol) that sorta stuff. I basically have bought it and done cambelt and service and its been pretty damn good since.

My 04 plate JTD has just come up to 129k. Had all the usual stilo problems but engine still going strong. Last 30k done in a year on poor roads too. Eats tyres!

mine is an o2 1.9jtd and is very fast approaching the 180k mark.
starting to look abit tired now though but still getting 48/49 mpg depending on how she's driven, more like miss daisy these days with the cost of deisel...
still she gets serviced on time and is just about to have the cam belt done again, that will be her 3rd to date.

i'm averaging about 20k a year in the Stilo, but i have other cars. Since i got my van i not driven it much but family members have been using it. Can't see me selling it anytime soon really, cheap to run, its pretty rapid and its well comfy - ok few things go wrong but its usually cheap if it does break, family has quite a few merc's and they are a complete nightmare - completely failed at changing the oil or even removing a sparkplug on the CLK t'other day and took it to garage in defeat, they suck the oil out the top with a machine rather than drain from underneath like any car i ever seen before.

My previous car (old 1L Micra) had 97k on the clocks, I had no idea when it was serviced, drove it into the ground for 2 and a half years, I swore it would go to car heaven when I was done. I sold it on in as good condition as I got it in having only had 2 bits of (apparently very common) welding done and a service with 155k if I remember right. Dad had a newer Micra 1.6 with 280k on the clocks  (to be fair it was a company car and got proper dealer treatment though...)

Much like mzhussein my Stilo is a lil baby with 58k on the clocks and it's had more than it's fair share of parts so far, doesn't stop me loving it though
