Hello, I have recently brought a punto evo 1.4 dynamic 2010 and am new to FF. The heater / fan doesn't work anymore in my punto. Looking online, I tried to check the fuse for the interior heating but cannot find the fuse box on the dashboard and the instructions point to something that isn't there. I have also removed the heater resistor and taken a picture of the loom connector and resistor and believe that they need replacing but as the fan doesn't work on speed 4 I fear that I may need a new motor as well.
Looking at previous threads I have tried to wiggle the connectors but nothing happens. As a result I must leave the windows open while I drive to keep the windscreen clear. For a replacement I was going to buy a Vauxhall corsa D resistor and loom set and then crimp the new loom to the old section of cable which shows no signs of damage. Is this the correct approach as I'm new to cars but have worked briefly with electronics. Is there anything else I should do before I purchase these parts? Thanks
