FS Fat Club

It's been a bad week for me not helped by trips away and too much good food. I'm back on track now though.

Jodie, probably the best healthy eating plan is as Martyn suggests. Cut out the crisps and sweets, don't eat processed food and increase your exercise. Try thinking of your body as a machine and food as your fuel. You wouldn't put fuel with lots of dodgy additives in your GP or use the wrong oil so don't do the same with yourself. Of course it's easier to say than to do. I work in nutrition research and should know better but I struggle to keep my weight under control. It's not helped by the works canteen serving chips with everything

What sort of food do you usually eat and can it be tweaked to be healthier?

When I jumped on the scales on Monday, I'd gained 1lb. I have eaten very healthily since, Indian Monday, BK Friday and 1/2 pot Ben & Jerry's, big bag cadbury nibbles and a bag of mini eggs. Still got another 1/2 pot of Ben & Jerry's to eat tonight

Good news being I'm back on the bike to work so hopefully some damage limitation there lol

Thing with me is that i dont really have 3 meals a day etc, so normally the average day consists of:-

9am breakfast Milkshake or banana, sometimes neither
lunch at about 3pm which normally is an activia youghurt, 2 slices of bread sandwich, either egg mayo or turkey, and a jelly pot
about 5 glasses of no added suger robinsons throughout the day.
Tea is at 9.20pm ish and is normaly a sandwich or like chicken and mash etc summit like that, alot of the time i miss tea out all together.

Im sure so sure what to do moving forward, any suggestions fellow fat clubers

i work 11 till 8pm with an hour commute each way so i cant really change the times that i eat

Damn it. Just lost a long reply thanks to bloody Chrome logging me out.

The gist of it was don't cut meals, replace breakfast milkshakes with something healthier (smoothies?), lose the jelly pot as it will have little nutritional value and not fill you up. Also maybe try soup for tea instead of sandwiches. I made a large pot of chicken and veg soup today which has been frozen in individual portions. When I know I have very little time in the evening to eat I can quickly heat up the soup and I know I'll have had a nutritious and tasty meal. Is this possibly an option for you?

Ahh Cheers Harper, any chance of a pm with the soup recipe and instructions LOL so i can make my own as im guessing thats better than the hein big soups that i normally have,

Good call martyn :) .

As for diet plan, i take a protein shakes in the morning, then 11 am porridge 1 ish comes scramble eggs (made i nthe microwave) and som chicken breast. about 3-4 pm ish i eat a chicken salard :) . Do it everyday when am in work lol

I forgot to weigh myself last night, although I don't think the subway foot long and 9" pizza with 1/2 a garlic bread with cheese would help any. Back to slimming stuff tonight, diet coke chicken yum!

I'm loving the fact you're such an example to us all Richard

When you suggested a FS Fat Club I didn't realise you meant us to fight fat loss ;) I'm very good at that :evil3:
