Plus you need to be slim to fit in the driver seat of your'e Red beast....

I really need the weather to improve & get my arse into gear, dig the bicycles out of the garage, WD40 them as well as proper bike lube. get back into cycling.
During 2006 when I was at college I was cycling minuim of 18miles per day, approx 45mins each way.
Then used to cycle to work & back which was 4miles each way back in 2007.
Suppose really after moving up here wi a fecked ankle I couldn't do anything, then when I got back on the road, the bikes never got used again.
Need to get downthe Gym or pool sometime an all.

See, I'd love to cycle but it's purely a time (and effort) thing.

Did hear on the radio the last few hours though of a new gym opening in the city centre...open 24 hours? £9.99 a month I believe as well. Might go enquire!

Join RGU:Sport, have a wee Fiat Scotland gym sesh ;)

Well, first week of fat club didn't go so well for me. Gill done fantastic, I on the other hand put 3lbs on. So efforts have been doubled this week to make a loss

One reason possibly for the extra weight was I weighed myself after tea. 9" topstop meat feast and half a 12" garlic bread with cheese lol

See, where I work theres nothing really within walking distance except a londis which doesnt really sell much, or the burger van.

Trying to cut out the latter and, for now, buying sandwiches. Eventually gonna start makin ma own as much much cheaper.

Dunno where the weight is, but bar a chipper tonight...and a curry on Saturday...managing to stop eating so much shite!

Sadly I need to sign up to this. I did start running again in October but stopped due to shin splints which my lovely physio attributed to my weight, age and impatience. Once the snow started I lost all motivation and rejoined the coach potato club.

The current plan is to walk 3 miles briskly at least every other day and resume the core work (sit-ups, press-ups, plank etc) when I can't get out. I also need to start doing the prescribed stretching exercises 3x a day again and cut down on the booze and crisps :bigcry: The last part is going to be hardest for me as I actually quite like exercise but I really love crisps.

yep, especially proper hand fried ones, sea salt and balsamic or sherry vinegar.

Revision takes it toll too, just want to binge on junk food. Roll on Monday night when exams are over an just an assignment to submit

Damn it, I knew I shouldn't have opened this thread: I have to go shopping on my way home. Mmmnn sea salt and balsamic vinegar crisps

Must not buy crisps

What exams are you sitting Richard?

Water Engineering has been done, Structural Planning tomorrow and Geotechnic's on Monday. Comparative assignment on BS8004 and Eurocode 7 for Foundation Design. Get these out the way then I just have a dissertation before Easter and one more exam in May/June, right about St. Andrews main event.

Being a fussy git, it has to be M&S or Kettle Chips sea salt & balsamic vinegar or Burts sea salt & sherry vinegar. Not so keen on the Phileas Fogg ones.

First proper ride on my Dh bike....almost killed me. Not because of hitting trees ( I hit 2 tbf ) but i've done bugger all weights or fitness since november...good plan callum.

I wasn't alone, couple of mates came down, and they haven't ridden for a while due to the weather, so we hyperventilated in a wee group on the ground :D

Oh and Martyn, its ehh more than I though as I had student price in my head. Have a wee peak here anyhow
