My new lamps (pair £35 from eBAy) and surrounds for £25 are in with no issues. Now to the wiring.

Quandry is whether to wire up push on off illuminated switch or get a proper Panda switch???

Does anyone know how many terminals there are on the OE switch.

Power to warning light
Warning light earth
Night light +
Live
Live out to relay?

Would this be right??

The issue with another switch is there is almost nowhere sensible to mount it without removing half the car to get access.

Has anyone done this before and if so do you have any tips please.

The foglamp activation control is issued by a key inside control panel H090.
Body computer node M001 receive a negative signal ( refers to earth C020 connector B) at pin11 connector O.
Once it has received the signal, it turns on the foglamps:

from pin 16 connector D it sends a negative signal to the coil of relay T14 supplied by an ignition-operated supply from a line protected by fuse F31;
the relay closes its internal contact and sends a direct battery from pin 71 connettore D of B001 to foglamps F015 and F016.
only if pin 7 connector P receives a side light activation signal See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS .

Earth C020 is secured to the passenger compartment floor and positioned near the front right wheelarch (footwell)
The body computer node communicates from pins 35, 36 of connector I via the CAN network with instrument panel E050 (for further details see wiring diagram E1050) and turns on the foglamp warning light.

two

both to the body computer

assuming they are all wired the same as the 4x4

Thanks. I will just check and see if I have wiring but I didn't see any near the lights so doubt it. That will be a fully independent wiring job then.

The standard front fogs work only with the headlights on. You will need the correct switch block for the dash though any with a fogs switch are quite rare.

This may well work. The power steering label is incorrect but for the price is worth a try.

Another option is to make a new plate for the cigarette lighter socket and fit a switch (switches) down there. Then run new wires and relay from the fuse box.

I have LED angel rings set around the fog lights. 70mm OD fits the Panda You will also need the cover rings and electronics grade silicone to seal the backs.

Thanks for all the comments.

My lights in and working. I picked up a switched live by tapping off the dipped light circuit and running back to the relay. The switch fitted - just by the 12v socket. I had lots of trouble getting my chinese connectors to contact in the fog lights but after fettling managed to bend the pins just enough to get a consistent contact. They havn't failed yet!
