knocked off 3 from my list today:

dave chappelles block party, def an acquired taste, daves sense of humour very odd, and far less main stream than say jamie foxx, but worth sticking with, esp for the fugee reunion

fearless, i seriously hope that this isnt jet li's final martial arts epic, because after once upon in china, the fong sai-yuk movies, and hero, its a bit of a let down. some of the sequences are good, but when you've see the other wu-shu work, you want a little more invention, a bit more...bite. jet, take a look at ong-bak and Tom yum goong, the games moved on....

fast and furious3: oh dear, so even paul walker wouldn't do this one, and i can see why. loud enough that i now need a hearing aid, enough crash cuts, whip pans and zooms to ensure if i ever go clubbing i will get photo sensitive epilepsy. walkers replacement looks and sounds like forrest gumps thicker brother, and spouts pretty much the same psuedo zen crap as vin from the first movie. even the cars, which should be the stars, look second division compared to the ones see in banzai and jap tuner. oh and mr director, if you are going to claim all the stunt work is for real, dont make the cgi more obvious than gollum picking his arse.....

bright spots: trailers for snakes on a plane, district 13, doa, cars, miami vice and of course superman

Superman is out in a fortnight or so 14th and Miami Vice is 4th August, can't wait to see them!

Liked the review of Tokyo Drift Jai, you ever write for IMDB?

I don't agree withe the Fearless review, I think it should be retracted :p Its the only movie in a long time where I've actually felt an emotional connection with the main character, I don't think it was meant to be an all out "beat down" fest like ONG BAK, ong back was like the kung fu equivalant of Final Destination, nuff arms and shameful "if I got kicked like that I'd be glad to be dead so no one could laugh at me" Fearless was very moving and had some members of the audience near to tears and on top of that there were some exceptional fight scenes.

I think it was so good I've actually seen it twice and would watch it again once I have time and if someone requests to see it with me.

Fast and furious is one of them Marmite things, you either love it or hate it, I loved it and so did the majority of people I know who watched it, the cars as always were outstanding, the action was enough to keep bypass the need for a decent storyline, I was upset when one of the main guys died, he was cool and it for the car lovers out there, the first drift race will have you covering your eyes in disbelief, the audience were very vocal in this scene... you could feel the damage :p

LOL! Some of the ones on there are just priceless, I assume many are American, they are hilarious!

over the hedge : smart, funny really liked it, loads of grown up movie jokes and silliness to keep up the pace.

poseiden : gene hackmans disaster was better, best that the ensemble peril flick died in the 70's with earthquake/airport/inferno/meteor.

ultraviolet : oh god, i dunno who you are, but can you grant me the wish of getting the 87 minutes of life i wasted on this piece of puerile crap? i'll even sit through the avengers for it......

hey kids kurt wimmer here, director of ultraviolet, betcha didnt think i'd track down a nasty review eh bonehead? let me tell you something, i had to fight to get my "citizen kane" made beeatch. and it wasnt easy.

first up those fricking focus groups from equilibrium said it was great but a bit grey, and although chris bale was great, they wanted more tits and ass. now that was a problem, i couldnt afford angelina for a kickass female role, so i got milla in, she'll do anything for couple of bucks, esp now her face is dropping.....anyway, to pander to this kids, i had to hire monkeys for the script, you know peanuts are still really expensive? and all these kids want is a multi-level game format movie...who knew a tie in for the generic games console would be so easy to write too!! so that meant i had hardly anything left for sets. good thing the eastern bloc in the form of commie china was ready to PAY us to come over and use their buildings, at evenings and weekends, the rest i had some kids with old amiga 500's fill in, i think the sfx have a retro quality, that pixallated look with proccess and shadow was way cool in the last starfighter. thankfully whilst the monkeys were learning english for the script writing, i had enough time to rip off as much set decor, and costumery from other movies, i thought the reuse of german WW2 helmets was genius, slap on a bit of paint and rehash it for my bad guys, for milla we just nicked srcaps of beef skin and stuck it on her, could'nt get much which is why its so tight and her ass eats it everytime she walks. oh how she laughed when i put loads of shots of that in the final cut......

anyway, the look i went for was post blade-runner, early mad max, mid fifth element/SW ep1, although koji the focus puller was blind and deaf, i think he made a really good effort at getting about 10 minutes of centre frame right.

anyway, look, its a little flawed, but then even micheal mann remade la takendown into heat, george keeps tinkering with the original trilogy, you turboned have no appriciation for art,

you're banned, from ever seeing my cinematic experiences....ever

the rest of you, i urge you to see it, i really need the bucks to make an homage to indiana jones, i got half the budget in place, just need another £50.....

hey balls to you bonehead, and stop stalking me cross the net, that team of monkeys is now dedicated to finding bad reviews, you that guy siskel who died just after reviewing sphere and said the screen writing was a pile of poo....yeah right beeatch, you know what i mean..

Here we go:

The Hills Have Eyes (2005) - can see why peeps walked out or found this too much, even had me wincing at parts and I like horror stuff although it ain't horror stuff I am on about however I won't digress any further.

Lucky Number Slevin - I thought this was average TBH, I could forecast the ending way early plus the script doesn't give what I would call a stellar cast the workout they deserve, truely a Kansas City Shuffle from the filmakers!

The Fog (2005) Remake of the John Carpenter flick which I barely remember, has Superman from Smallville in it and Selma Blair, it didn't really grab me before I feel asleep so decided not to waste time watching the rest the next day.

We went to see superman this week. Well it was a little long 2 and a half hours iirc  not much more to say really, was a little disappointed :(

i saw "the hills have eyes" the other night... my god... i can normally take anything.. but this.. i found a wee to much very stomach turning in some place... but other than that i found it kinda slow

Well I waited a long time to write a Superman Returns review!

Where so I start and how do I not give anything away to peeps that want to see it?

OK short and sweet, Brandon Routh (as in South) is great IMO as both CK and Superman, job well done!

Nice use of CGI although I thought it appeared cartoony at parts.

Few nods to the old Superman Movies which I though was good, few funny moments too to break up action.

Erm I liked it, thought there could have been more but I assume they hold some stuff back for sequels.

Oh and I think this is the first movie outing for the Audi Q7.

the list as always is subjective, however to my shame i score a 35....

My opinion is that the list was created by some silly editor going through an acute phase of diarrhoea, yet asked to deliver it within 5 seconds.
It lists both very good (Brazil, Manhattan, Pulp Fiction) and very silly (Shawshank Redemption) movies.

And now for something completely different:

This reminds me a similar list of "the best musical composition of all times" where the winner was the epic saga adoring the history of mankind called "Stairway to heaven". Composers of idiotic pop-songs like Vivaldi, Beethoven, Dvorak and Debussy were, of course, excluded.

we went to see Cars last night.

was quite good but then its my kind of film. quite a few funny bits, with a good story. graphics are quite good lots of detail like reflections on the cars etc.

even has street racers lol. and there was as many adults in the screening without kids as there was families. :)
