Just watched "Epic Movie".
I think it's the second worst film I've ever seen. Total crap.

the hype machine tells you it's good loudly and often, eventually you'll tell yourself the same. in reality though there is not one single truly jawdropping moment, no face on a water pseudopod, no morphing T2, no harrier attack, what there is, is an abundance of material plagerized from a ton of other movies. and not seemlessly either, jumping from platoon, to star wars, into jurassic park, over to his own aliens, with a touch of outbreak, cocoon, matrix, thirteenth floor thrown in.

walking along making the ground light up? hell john travolta was doing that 30 years ago in saturday night fever....sheesh:rolleyes:

What the hell are you talking about?! :bang:
I let IGN review do the talking to be fair!

I'm not particularly swayed by reviews of anything (films, books, etc), but I really wanted to see Avatar because of the leap forward in 3D tech....

Ok true it doesn't really bring anything 'new' in terms of storytelling, but with regards to effects it is ground-breaking....Not just the 3D either...This is probably the best CGI work that has ever been seen on the big screen....

(And as an arty type, I thought the environment and creature design was particularly good)

I wanted to see it for myself before judging it, but I do tend to agree with this quote I read....

"Avatar, essentially, is a film we’ve seen before, boldly made to look like nothing we’ve seen before. It is truly the Star Wars of our age."

Good point, well put.

:D

I want to go see it but i hate it already because ive just had to go through over 2000 people in 6 hours wanting to see it and selling out screens over 2 hours in advance :bang:
