Just read this:

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/050106/344/f9roe.html

Smee, who has a number of previous convictions and has been disqualified from driving before, pleaded guilty last month to drink-driving, aggravated vehicle taking and driving with no insurance.

It said on R5 he had been disqualified from driving twice, but he's 13(??!) Doesn't that mean he is pretty much disqualified anyway? What was the point in disqualifing him 4 years before he could be able to drive?

It's like me stealing something then getting a ban from stealing lol.

I Think the ban only comes into affect when he is legally entitled to a licence therefore delaying the time he can actually drive.

Sadly I feel it'll just be delaying the time he can legally drive, it will probably make sod all difference to what he actually does. Caught again and he'll probably have his balloons taken off him, or maybe his crayons - the courts are just sooooo effective.

What Steve is said is my understanding of it too. It's a shame this lad has obviously been through the system several times before but no-one seems to have done anything constructive to help him. If this problem were tackled sooner he might have a chance. I guess all he's going to learn in his young offenders holiday camp is how to nick cars better :(.

Oi!!! Evidently not too good on Mancunian geography Eh??

Salford certainly ain't Moss Side...not by a long shot.

That's what I thought but was scared to say so incase I was speaking BS - salford isn't exactly a bad place in Manc is it Tom? I think my sister is living there next year.

i disagree.. salford is much worse.
in Moss Side, unless you're in a gang or a drug dealer, you'll pretty much have no problem.
In salford... you have every reason to worry.
