Does anyone know who to complain to about cold calling? Getting the same company phoning me few times a week now, starting to **** me off.

An absolute pleasure Mr Kier old chap! (y)

I signed up to telephone preference service which seemed to do the trick.
Sad thing is, i kinda miss getting the odd call from "bob" in some bangalore call centre & keeping him hanging on the phone for hours on end:devil:

Can I sign up to TPS with a mobile?

I forgot that I was going to play porn down the phone to them next time :(...will have to remember for next time!

They p*ss me right off. Ever since I put my details in moneysupermarket after a loan to buy my punto (I bought it feb 07). I STILL get calls about it now.

Bunch of blood sucking vultures.

What I can't understand is where they got my number from, I started getting them a few days after I got my new number, and hadn't given it out apart from to friends etc.

Part of me thinks that e2Save have something to do with it as it started so soon.

Yes you can do TPS on a mobile number, and chances are you probably forgot to tick the box when registering your new phone that said something like 'I don't want you to give my details to 3rd parties". TPS should stop the calls coming in (but give it a few days). Alternatively, I know with landlines you can block incoming calls from certain numbers so if you know the number that's calling your mobile provider might be able to provide the same facility. Last port of call would be OFCOM if it keeps happening.

I had similar issues with a bunch of chancers from Merseyside (Clear Contact) trying to sell me their services for reclaiming loan fees.
I am on TPS for both my landline and my mobile, but still they called.
After the 3rd time of asking to be removed from their list (I did ask nicely fir the first time honest :D ) I looked them up on the web then sent in emails complaining of haressment.
They ignored the first one, but guess who had read receipts turned on ? :D , so I had a target to aim for.
I got a reply and a promise to deal with it, they have called once more and I got a fresh promise - so far so quiet :D

We cold call corporate bankruptcy in work, so in turn i had to do a Telesales Course (i dont do the calling, im the manager :)).

Doing the course has benefited me more for when i receive telesales calls myself. It taught me how to turn the call around and how to string them along and how to realy **** them off.

It also benefits that i know the owners of all the big call centres around here and it freaks them out that i ask them to say hello to their boss for me :D
