Technical Clutch pedal not working after clutch replacement.

Technical Clutch pedal not working after clutch replacement.

, when I tighten the screws to 15Nm this gap is no more but the diagram spring compresses so much it looses its dome shape and becomes very stiff and there is no travel at the clutch pedal. I have already busted 2 slave cylinders out of frustration.
.

I repeat

The fingers do not flattern to any noticeable amount on the panda 1.2,1.1 or 1.4

Im sorry its always me disagreeing with you, but your comment is not correct.

The clutch spring WILL ALWAYS flatten when its tightened.
The original poster losses it dome shape

Watch the video

Which bit have I made a mistake with

That's the flywheel that came out of the car. It is a 2004. None interference engine I believe.
Are you sure it's the right clutch

Pre 2005 are different

Don't know what's different

7575615 is an old uno part number I believe. This is a later 2006 flywheel with a different part number

Hi everyone,

I measured the slave cylinder travel and I have about 10mm
And this is with the pressure plate a bit more than finger tight. I attach video.

The loss of finger spring dome shape is small. My alignment tool is a nice fit to a loose clutch cover. It very quickly gets grabbed as the screws pull down. I have to nip it gently, then pull out the tool and only then torque it up. I usually forget and have to do it again.

The distance from the bell housing to the arm should be around 40 mm
Looking straight down

Looks a lot less on yours but it's hard to tell from the angle

Still say you problem is clutch, flywheel drive plate combination

When I fitted my last one. The gap between the flywheel is very small 2 or 3 mm you can finger tighten the 6 bolts and then push on the pressure plate to close the gap. No need to turn each bolt half a turn at a time as you do for uprated clutches.

It will depend on brand

I clamp the plate pressure plate to the drive plate then lift the whole lot to the flywheel after installing it's still being gripped

Hi,

Yes, I agree with the problem being the clutch and flywheel combination. Here is a video of the bolts being tightened to 10Nm and the spring diagram being distorted.

The diesel has a heavier clutch but it was no problem to bolt to the flywheel. Suggest you talk to Shop 4 Parts. Unlike most spares outlets they do know what they are talking about. Give them your flywheel details and they would be able to tell you which clutch you need.

Thank you for the advice 👍

I got the same result when I put the worn clutch and tighten the bolts all the way down.

I have compared the original pressure plate with the replacement I am hoping to use and they have the same measurements, same with the release bearings.

I have tried the following clutch kits all with the same result.
