I was investigating the starter motor & alternator today, but while the bottom cover was off I saw this.
Can somebody throw some light on what it actually is?

It looks like the remains of a cheap compression gauge or similar, where does other end of the pipe go?

Its identified as a damper on the clutch hydraulic lines in a recent post on the >2012 Panda forum. I still dont know what it really does but this is the official description.

Thank you, I'll explore that on the internet in due course. I was concerned at the corrosion, and thought it would need sorting at some stage.

A bit of waxoil might be good. Any holes probably need to be clear.

Changed my 2014 4x4 for a 2019 4x4 Cross. Only 9K miles and not seen a salted road yet so have been spending a few days cleaning everything and applying Lanoguard everywhere. came across this behind the nearside wheel arch and no idea what it is and if it should have something screwed into it...
