Hey Folks!
I'm Rob, From Dublin, Ireland
From the 22nd - 29th July 2006
Myself an my good friend Richie will be running a fund-raising / Charity Safe Driving Campaign called "2 Lads and a Cinquecento"
We'll be setting off from Tallaght, Dublin on the 22nd July in a bright yellow Fiat Cinquecento 1.1 Sporting!
We will be travelling south and over the 7 days we will be stopping off in places like: Dublin, Wexford, Waterford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway, Donegal, Belfast and back to Dublin on the 29th
Our aim is to get 100,000 people to sign there name in permanent marker on the cinquecento (thin marker! LOL!) costing €1 per signature
The money raised will be going to 2 youth groups here in Dublin and also to the National Rehabilitiation Hospital in Dublin
We're presently sponsored by: AXA Insurance, Fiat Ireland, Temple Lane Recording Studios and supported by: the National Safety Council & The Department of Transport
We hope and believe to attract alot of media coverage and plan to make it very clear to all drivers...to heed there spped and arive alive!
But I ain't finished yet...ow no!
LOL
the car will be very very obvious...not only is it bright yellow!
But the Cinquecento (Proudly named "Glenn")
Has 2 revolving amber lights on her roof, a rear window LED text Bar Display which scrolls messages / warnings to drivers...
"Glenn" also has a removable desktop where in the front passanger area (dashboard)
with a Built in Laptop computer,
as well the car has a 300 Watt Power Convertor in the car converting car electricity into household electricity!
OW and not to mention that big ass speaker on the roof!
LOL!
Yep, "Glenn" has a built in car P.A. System, allowing us to play music / Speak (using microphone) to the public outside the vehicle!
LOL!!
and if that wasn't cool enough...
We contacted the well known Irish band & good friends "TKO
who offered to re-write one of their classic songs "Lets Go" to fit the event!
And they did! and it sounded cool!
then we contacted "Temple lane Recording Studios"
who gave us sponsorship of a €6000 recording of "Lets Go" for FREE!!!!
The song is presently being mastered but u can listen to the Rough mixdown,
which sounds class!
LOL
Both myself and Rich sing in the song!
Which will go on sale across Ireland just before the event!
