Technical '06 Panda crank sensor issue.....

And as i remember hearing it should be 1.5-2.5 on a pin and 0 on the other as a general rule unless this car is different from the usual
The fiat 500 manual states 5V on both

Around 2v is probably okay, pitty I haven't got my car here to check

And under 5 ohms on the cable resitance

It probably depends on the ECU

If you clear the code and disconnect the camshaft sensor does the

P0335 come back

It doesn't immediately but after cranking and failing to start 3 times the p0335 show up again

Btw shouldn't the car usually depend on the camshaft sensor for RPM if the crankshaft happens to fail? And goes into limp mode?

Probably not I am not, on these engines, as a bad CKP sensors stops the engine dead even if it's running

I have started the car the other way round with the camshaft disconnected, but a euro 3 or 4

I can't see anything obviously wrong at the moment, everything checks out

Let's check the ECU for power and ground

Use the scan tool not a multi meter here's mine

The voltage should dip down as the starter is seen as a dead short, as it starts to turn over it should recover to above 11V, you will have problems with the body computer first, it will restart and flash the clock below 7V, below 5V and the ECU will not read the sensors

Bro the car went crazy after clearing the faults it started right up after trying for roughly 16 times it never started but this time it worked right after cranking here look

Ok so i was checking all around the ECU TCM and BCM then guess what happened?
Upon clearing the following fault codes the car turned off right after 2 seconds approximately so finally i think it was the BCM cutting off something with the car then after clearing the fault everything was gone but after cranking the car started immediately except serial line with incorrect code came back right away. Although the last one came with the car during the 5 years i owned it it never failed to start or turned off while driving but the minicrypt fault apparently caused the sudden turn off even while driving but the unknown fault code is very strange and it's the 1st time i see it and am not sure that that's it's code it's as much as i could remember but not 100% accurate.

Minicript with incorrect code
B701 unknown fault code
Serial line with incorrect code

As for these videos these are the vitals of my car doc if you want to throw an eye on it and if you happen to know why was the bcm causing the issue I'd be extremely grateful

And these videos are everything while cranking and after cranking on the ECU

and back at this no the clock never resetted upon cranking even if the car failed to start it was always steady

Big news the car died again and refused to start after a short trip

The oil goes out as soon as it starts but the battery i noticed it fluctuating a bit when the car refused to start after the short trip

But as i mentioned above when i cleared the faults on the BCM the car immediately went off

The cars not starting now

When you crank the car is the battery light staying on or going out as per in an earlier video

We didn't do anything to alter this but it seemed to fix itself

I wonder if it's back

As i showed in the video when you suggested clearing the DTC of the ECU it started right up from the first crank without stuttering or delay at all just as it normally does then after clearing the BCM DTC the car went out while running i cranked it up once again it fired right up so i kept it for a while running it didn't go out at all then my dad took it on a test drive for about 5 minutes or so completely normal then after bringing it back he parked it in front of my sister's car locking her in and now a while ago i went to try and start it again it refused to start and i noticed the battery light flickering a bit while cranking before going out while the car is still refusing to start that's the whole story to it

That's what's driving everyone crazy it works whenever it wants and stops working whenever it wants without asking anyone. I asked her why's she sad she refuses to tell me 😂😂

It shouldn't

Cranking it should be permanently on until the ECU sees a RPM above 700

It's almost certainly a problem with a loose or damaged wire

Being intermittent makes testing more difficult
