Hi,

My Panda 1.2 4x4 has the engine light on. I read the code as P0335 and then cleared it. The car runs fine when warm but is in limp mode when cold and wet. This car has a hard life with most miles on very rough tracks, carries hay on the roof and is expected to do the job of a farm quad - which it does very well.

I am now the proud owner of a new sensor from ebay but I don't know where the original is fitted in the engine, please could someone explain where it is or better still put up a photo. Buying new bits might seem silly but it is very much cheaper than going to a fiat dealer and if its not the problem I can sell it on ebay as a used spare.

Any help or ideas gratefully received.

It's not a bad idea - new sensors make sense (!) and are not over expensive. Can't post a picture easily as on iPad right now, but dead easy to find. Stand in front of car (bonnet open.... :) ) and look down towards the bottom left hand side of the engine block. The CPS is mounted with its sensitive end pointing at the crank pulley, only about 3-4mm from it. There's a single connector on it and it's about the size of a small lipstick I'd say! Held in by a clip arrangement and easy to change - when the engine is cold as it's near the exhaust. Easy to get at underneath, but you'd need to remove the engine guard to get at it.

Good luck!
