And we have a match :)
Found a "new" engine for the panda. Refurbished with 0 km and 1 year warranty (no limit of km). Assembly will be made next week. I'm so anxious right now, seems like the day I saw the panda for the first time and purchased it (had to wait almost a week) :)

Wonderful news indeed
Keep us posted with the progress. :D

So, the Panda is alive!!!!! :)
Everything seems OK, but one issue, which is the "Yellow Triangle of Doom", followed by the message of Start&Stop error.
The ECU does not detect any errors according to the mechanic. I suspect of batery being weak, since it's almost 6 years old.

I would agree. I got exactly that this week after a long period being parked up. In fact I think I will change the battery soon myself.

Your safest option would be to try and source a reconditioned engine.

So, definitively the issue is the battery. Yesterday I drove around 40 min, turned off the engine and restarted it 5 minutes after and error was missing. This morning it showed up again. I'll change battery and I'm prety sure the issue will go away.

Any advise on the battery, namely brands? I heard well of Varta.

So, I'm gonna change the battery myself, however I read on the internet that because of Start&stop thing it needs to be configurated on the ECU. Anyone did this already?

My understanding is that with fiat you don't have to tell the ecu that a new battery has been fitted. Well done fiat (-;

I would recommend using one of those small lithium jumper batteries connected to the power leads as the battery is changed. This will ensure continuity when the old battery is swapped out.

That in fact occorred to me, however, and since there is the warning light/error, I decided to speak with the mechanic and already purchased the battery which he will install this next saturday.

Anyway, here's another pic from the "pandemonium" ☺️

Panda is almost with 3000 kms after puting the new engine and keeps going. Waiting for the quarantine to be over to go into some light offroad experience :D

My engine has just lost compression so I’m reading with interest the difficulty of finding another engine as I’ve heard from another mechanic who tried to rebuild one and said it was a nightmare, and soooo expensive getting parts he would t do it. But would put a new engine in for me if I could find one, but said good luck doing that.
