I DO own a fiat (1.4s brava) but my neighbour gave me an old ford onion 1.8 DL (which is broke) to (if possible) fix and it'smine I tried aford orion forum but it was a load of pigswill. Basically chavs Can anyone please point me in the right direction.

Basically when i try to start it alliget is loads of whiney clicky noises and no attempt from the starter.

could be bad earth, bad starter, or ban solenoid.

if the noises are from the dashboard batt is flat

have you tried the old bashing the starter with a hammer trick?

yeah if its just a sticky solonoid or shaft it often gets it going

lol, what do you mean? i've used the "whack it to start it" method many a time when starter motor problems occur.
