Saw what appeared to be a family of deer on my evening run. It's pretty normal to see them this time of year but don't usually see 5 together.

When I cycle to work I often get followed by a Barn Owl. She flies just over my left shoulder waiting for some rodent in the verge to give itself away. There is also a section where Deer like to cross the road in front of me. Part of what makes cycling worth it.

Today my RX8 made me smile. I did about a hundred and thirty miles and most of it I was sat behind a truck/tractor/bus doing their speed limit swerving to avoid pot holes but the moments I could use half a dozen thousand rpm and more the car was a different animal.

I guess the RX8 is like a cat most of the time you are sat there thinking what's the point but as soon as you use a laser pen it all makes sense.

It's not just any broccoli .. it's M&S broccoli ;)

But does it have a different effect on your digestives than teh cheap stuff. Is the methane produced of a higher octane.

Sorry I will not lower the tone again.

Having had the final insurance papers from Admiral they added £300 to last weeks quote so I have renewed with Chris Knott via here. A small overall saving without the bull about multi car discounts.

So that's 4 customers Admiral lost in 1 day and car four will be half the price. They even wrote to say they might like to requote next year. #

I DON'T THINK SO!!!

There is a busy works car park next to a main road in Abingdon, as as you filter by in busy traffic you often see "boxed-in" drivers..having "fun and games".

today I noticed there were 2 x 500's in the corner..(worst place for getting stuck)

they were BOTH "Powder Blue", and it was the local Hospital

perhaps they are "accessories"..same colour as their uniforms:D

When I still worked for the NHS the staff carpark was usually a wash of fiat 500s, Mini Coopers and Vw beetles (the latter to a lesser extent) another favourite was the 1 series BMW.

My wife still works for the NHS and still drives a mini, it gets silly sometimes when you go to the dealership for a service and run into people you know from work almost every time

I used to walk past a hospital in Runcorn daily and saw the same sort of cars you mentioned and at night time the odd Mercedes or Range Rover (must have been the experienced doctors!).

But I noticed one car always parked at the side of the car park. A Panda Active in a rusty orange sort of colour! I wonder which staff member owned it as it was such a far cry from the fancy cars parked around it!

The NHS did used to have a decent company car scheme so I would imagine quite a few of those would be under that. Seem to remember the bloke dropping the ds3 off saying he was sick of delivering 500s and it was nice to see something different.

Although they've rewritten the terms of that so a lot fewer staff will be eligible going forwards.

I wasn't aware the NHS did multiple discounts.. I should be half-way towards one by now:rolleyes:

Guessing this may be to do with admiral...

Tbf I was with them 5 years left last month. Still getting phone calls from ambulance chasers about helping me reclaim uninsured losses from my none fault claim.

Got to the point now where I play along list all the things I want them to help me recover...then point out my none fault claim was actual an info only storm damage claim and ask them how they plan to sue the sky?

Took a drive/walk around the Derwent reservoir with the wife. Nice sunset and always loved those roads since I got my license, also free of suibikers at this time of year.

I picked up a Lexus LS400 today as a 1UZ engine donor in can the Renesis in my RX8 goes Stimpy-ish (Ren and Stimpy were a cartoon I liked when I was young).

It has the worst sounding windscreen wipers in the Universe! Seriously it's worse than a primary school string quartet. Imagine five people dragging nails across a chalkboard.

Anyway I was at a set of traffic lights in Grantham and a line of people were waiting to cross. The wipers wiped, they all cringed in unison, one pointed and started to laugh so I tapped the throttle. Got double thumbs up from three of them. (y)

Can't wait to make a decent exhaust for the thing.
