Winamp hates me

Every time I start Winamp, it crashes with the below error. It used to do this occassionally but after about 2-3 attempt it would work. I haven't upgraded Winamp versions recently and am on 5.5.4.2165. I can't stand WMP and have been a fan of Winamp since it first came out, although to be fair it used a lot less resources back then

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing my issues?

Will 2.93 work on Vista? I think i managed to fix it by just deleting the folder and re-installing but we'll see how long it lasts ... every day I wish I hadn't bothered with Vista but I'm too lazy to go switch now that I have pretty much everything set up almost as I want it ...

I suppose if I played around with compatability mode it may work but tbh I may just go back to XP or even 2000 if Vista keep annoying me ... Winamp seems to be OK now, cheers anyway arc!

Why not? Its good and doesn't **** your off like WindowsMedia Player

And @ OP Yes I defo would go back to XP vista is a pile of toss.
