Quick question on Vista

I found out that you can (thanks to dom). You extract the program key using ABR Utility.
Install Vista 64 (clean install).
But all links to Vista 64, just gives me Vista 32
Aparantly you get both versions on the retail disc (didnt get the disc with the machine) but OEM will work if you get the same version , i.e if you have Home Premium, make sure you get Home Premium.

So, ive given up.

Give this a go matey:

I have two hard drives in my PC, one with Vista on it, and the other partitioned (split 4 ways). Out of fear of this not working again, can I disconnect the Vista drive and install it on one the drive with the partions on it? This drive is currently blank (havent moved my stuff back on to it yet).
Will this affect the partitions?

how to ruin an MBR... partition a HDD 4 ways.. silly way,... you said you had 2 HDD's why not store important data on disc 2 and rest on disc 1

example
sata 0 = windows C:\ + games D:\
Sata 1 = work E:\ + Spare F:\
Sata 2 = G:\ DVD/BD
sata 3 = H:\dvdrw/cdrw
USB 0 = I:\ removable
USB 1 = J:\ backup drive (500gb sata)

Yet i've bought over £500,000 worth of hardware through them in the last 3-4 years and couldn't fault them for a second. They actually let us do our own hardware swapouts in the end with next day courier delivered parts. I even had 'same' day delivery once on a server motherboard.

I suppose for a large organisation they are okay but for normal users pcs I don't really rate them tbh.

Can I just add how much I f***ing hate Vista. Got a customer with a Vista PC that will just NOT go on the internet, cannot ping gateway. Plugged in an XP laptop into same cable and it works or if I use Mini XP on hirens it also works. Buggy unfinished pile of toss.

:ROFLMAO: I'll second that!!

Even for large organisations they can be pants (n) I am sat next to a pile of boxes with £250k worth of servers in them, Dell have dropped a doo doo and can't provide hardware RAID...... We spend millions per year with Dell and they still don't hit the mark.
