Who has Bebo?

Yeah definitely.. It wasn't til 2 nights ago my Bebo went private for the first time.. someone found me who I didn't really want knowing my business! They could have made my life a bit difficult if they'd found out/ seen what I'd been getting upto:eek::D

But definitely all going private now, someone on this thread PMd me and basically told me how much someone can find out with only an email address- and I know it makes me sound dippit- but I don't think I'm alone in saying its just something a lot of people dont give a second thought to:eek:

Lesson learned(y) x

Nae luck:D

haha, its guts? oh dear..

I know someone who had a red cinq from just outside Dundee but smashed it into someones garden and wrote it off... :S x

I'm already on your friends list and I got nothing :(

Thought I did get a ride in the red bathtub before it dropped it's guts on the road

:ROFLMAO:

oh, it does say on my page if your on it, you owe me a muffin.... where is it? :p

surely a drive in smokey in all its smokey glory was a good prize  :p

Good point about the muffin... but what's 2nd prize? haha:p
Ouch.. doesn't sound so good, what happened?
Take it you're fairly mechanically minded?

Nah I didn't.. he bruised a few ribs so I couldn't really shout:p plus it was before I got the Fiat bug:p x

Meh, nothings unfixable with a bit of time, patience and money, i have the first, but not the second.... or the third :(

Mechanicly, im not too bad, i've been known to tinker :p, ive done a few repairs, i managed to change a clutch in world record (for me)time a few hours before a meet in stirling, been toying with the idea of starting a project hq too, but i still only get my hands dirty when i really need to :yuck:

but i enjoy playing about with cars, so its all do-able :)

Ah not so good, great description though! lol

Yeah the clutch is the only thing on mine that's ever gone wrong in my 4 months of Punto ownership:D *touches wood*
Helped replace it and saw what had happened, the washer had mangled the ends of the fins on the pressure plate, dont know if this is a common problem and likely to happen again but.. just have to wait and see:)

I see you own a 95 Punto too? :)

lol, thanks :)

yup, thats thrust bearing failure, that goes and starts eating away at the diaphram fingers, thats the most common cause of fiat clutch death. on cento's, we have the added problem of it snapping the clutch cable and pivot constantly when it does it, meaning we can't get away with a worn bearing for so long. the punto has a hydraulic system, so not so much worries there. if its just been done, you'll be good for a long time now, so not to worry (y)

the trick is to pop the car into neutral at traffic light and bring the clutch up. sitting with your foot down on the clutch eats away at the bearing, so if you use neutral and only go into gear moving off, it will extend the clutch life by a good bit :)

Yup, i have a 1.6 punto convertible, its not on the road though, it will be the basis of my next project after project cinq :) i think i have too many plans and not enough space to do them tbh! :bang:

what engine does yours have?

Aye, that's what my dad says.. he's a mechanic and gets on at me for driving the "modern" way haha:eek: Have to admit it was a bit scary when it did go, was in the middle of perth haha.

Oo a convertible? Very nice :p thought mine was rare in the colour it's in, but a convertible? Never seen one of them:) was that an after market conversion or did they come like that?

She's just a little 1.2 :)
pics at the bottom of this page following a recent bath:rolleyes: >

Lol, my first cinq did similar on the way back from perth.... and forfar.... and near my house 4 times, i thought by then it was time to change the clutch ;) but the gearbox had also gone, the electrics were fried and the head gasket was struggling. so i traded it in against a focus, which i got bored of after 5 months :p

yup, the cabrio was a factory effort, well, iirc, it was a semi factory effort, it was actually put together by pininfarina, the designers.. but thats just splitting hairs ;) it was sold through fiat dealers :) they are pretty rare, especially red ones, most are yellow that i can see, they didnt sell in big numbers. i dont have many pics of her, shes stuck in a garage on the other side of town atm :p

I'll get that done up/running at some point i'm sure, it'll maybe even make a few apperances at FF and FS meets (if its sunny of course ;))

thats a really nice colour, quite rare!, 55 is a 1.1, same engine as a standard Cinq or Sei sporting, great for insurance and economy, perfect for a first car really :) it even has the original trims! clear indicators are a mod thought, im sure l,m and n 55's came with orange repeaters
can you tell i'm into my fiats? :ROFLMAO:

EDIT- http://static.preloved.co.uk/uploads/userphotos/09/0528/1449435-608m.jpg

thats as close as i can find to my cabrio, same colour and very similar wheels :)

Bugger :S oh no, i mean like properly going, as in gone, as in no-longer-able-to-change-gear gone, which subsequently meant i was driven all the way home in 5th gear with the occasional burst in 4th(n)
Not good... lol

That convertible looks awesome! The red gives it a definite sports car vibe lol! When's the plans to do that one up?
Hm.. A soft top Freddie:chin:... now that's given me idea's haha!

Ah yes, 1108cc, not sure why i thought it was a 1.2 haha:)
Yeah sounds like you definitely know your fiat stuff(y)

I love how this thread is like a 2 way conversation now haha, i bet people are watching what we're writing:) cheers for that PM earlier btw, looks like that might be more relevant for me... more local:) always get the feeling English people seem to forget Scotland exists if you know what i mean;) lol
i doubt that's gonna go down well if people see it either.. ha :p x
