Got a notification from YouTube about a reply to a post. The video title did not ring a bell, so clicked the link. It was a video discussing drivers' reaction times, from 3 years ago. The latest poster, just a day or so ago, was arguing against points raised, giving confusing accounts of how he was better than the average. As if that then applied to everyone.
I couldn't help myself, but had to comment about his reaction time, being 3 years. He seems to have got a little upset by this.

Happened last Thursday, but I keep giggling about it.

So, I've been waiting almost a year for a replacement front hub for the Ural and it's looking like I still may not see it until January. While wasting my time on FB Marketplace, I spotted a 2013 Ural Gear Up, sans sidecar, engine, and transmission. It had 9000km on it and has been listed for 16 weeks, so I figure the guy is going to want to get it gone if it has sat for that long.

He left it, but if I'm anything, it's patient.:ROFLMAO:
Some people are total dreamers on prices,
I was at a Boat Jumble and found an electric tilt motor for a 1970s Volvo Penta Sterndrive which I could use on my boat that I was replacing the 150hp petrol engine with a diesel.
As soon as I picked it up to inspect the guy pounced on me and said "Do you know how much that is worth?" He then told me a ridiculous price, so I put it down as though it was red hot. He called after me "You will be back!" . I thought "no effing way", went home and made up an hydraulic ram assembly to do the job manually at far lower cost which was still working four years later after selling the boat! :)

Well the club the wife runs has been closed for 2 days for a cellar refit, promised it would be done in 2 days.
So now we're closed until further notice, possibly the weekend til it's done.
I did tell her it would probably take 5 days about a month ago when they arranged this, so smug smile on this morning and a few days off for us both.

Today was my only free day so I got Scarlett all polished up & waxed ready for MITCAR on sunday

Then did a couple of small niggly maintenance bits before the journey on Sunday as MITCAR is 170 miles away from here according to Google maps, cleaned the throttle linkage with some carb cleaner as it was a little gummed up so that's now all clean & then the regular job of greasing up all the clutch linkages which I do roughly every 6 weeks & before any long journey, so apart from checking fluids etc & giving the inside just a quick going over she's ready to go.

We put an offer on a house in early March today we finally have a contract after the probate office moved their fat ***** and sorted it out. Why it needs to take so long I do not know but if I worked there I would be very quiet about it.

Next week I will have my hands full, again, of a house in need of a load of heavyweight TLC but at at leats 55K under the market rate for the same in good order I think I am pleased. Just hope my health holds up to get the work done. I think we have a bargain but time will tell. The really funny thing is the estate agents have been guarding the keys with a ridiculous zealousness. Monday we gained our own set from under cobwebs in the garage which is unlocked and open to all. When they offer the keys I shall say no thanks, dont need them. LOL

Totally neat and nice! Well done

Cellar at the Club will be finished today, so will be pulling pints from 6 lovely.
Having officially retired at 54 almost 6 years ago I still seem to be doing too much work 🙃
But the panda passed its mot on Wednesday, no advisories not bad at 10 years old.😊

Fitted new rear light bolts as they were rusty, mismatching & generally not nice so I went into my dad's box of stainless nuts, bolts & washers & found 4 matching allen key bolts the same thread & length as the original bolts, I'll have to get a new nearside light as the fixings damaged which I think is still causing the leak on that side, for now as a temporary measure I've put a washer on it so the bolt tightens instead of just turning where the fixings broken, also the lens is starting to crack. On the upside the lights are now sitting more against the body & the seal now to what they were before as I've tightened them until I could tighten them no more

Message from my brother today, someone who hates fiats, but clearly something has rubbed off on him as he is eying up a very cheaply priced panda 4x4 with only 40k on the clock, for potentially my nieces first car and wanted to get my opinion

He wanted to know if they could actually go off road and if there are any know issues to look out for. Then told me later he would put an offer In so he can’t hate fiats all that much

Fiats be cheap, that's why I like them.

I've been wondering if they go off road myself...:)
