A very nice whisky with a dash of water..

Had it on the bench for bloody ages, can't really drink these days due to always either being a school night or I'm the only adult while other half is on night shift.

Just fancied it and it's beautiful after not having since she went back to work in September.

Love Monkey Shoulder, my best man introduced me to it on the day of my wedding bought me a bottle when I returned the favour at his wedding and it's say on my bench since 2018.

I might join you in that I’ve had a hard day of Punto cleaning so have earned it, wife on a night shift. Don’t have any monkey shoulder, but it is a very nice whiskey bought my father a bottle a couple of years back, after trying it on a cross channel ferry.

I do have a Jonny walker Black label and a Haig Club.

This made me smile. I challenge anybody on here to exceed this level of shine ;)

With all the isolation, I don't want no excuses about 'not having the time' ;)

So this is my effort finally.

I have added a before picture (with some gratuitous advertising) for reference as to what the car looked like this morning.

This is however just the outside, the inside is still very much a pig sty, which will be getting cleaned tomorrow (y)

I must say, that is an absolute beauty you've got there! I'd love to a have a blue car 1 day. [emoji846]

I can make it look amazing in a photo, like many cars that shine up it looks pretty good, however if you look closely you can probably see the peeling lacquer on the bonnet, the front end is very heavily stone chipped, there are scratches and dents on both sides.

I've not edited the picture, other than blanking the number plates, but from that distance a lot of the blemishes are about as big as one pixel on the camera so easy to hide.

It looks nice in pictures, but it is very rough after 175k miles.

Yes I think I will, thank you. It is about that time of day, isn't it? Large-ish Talisker for me:) Cheers chaps

Cheers 18 year old Talisker is probably the nicest whisky I've had, also the only drink where I've ordered a pair of them and the barman has said "are you sure? that's gonna be 40 quid!".

Sign of a good whisky for me is could you drink it either neat or with a little water. None of this JD and Coke business.

It's doing well! Does it still drive nicely?

It's the sporting so it drives very differently. It handles very well and the suspension is quite firm. The tyres are a bit rubbish so can be noisy, but yeah for 175k is drives ok. I do like driving it, when I drive it. Throwing it around the country roads of Norfolk can be a lot of fun.
Because its rough it doesn't get treated nicely which also makes it a lot of fun, when you don't care if it scraps a bush or drops a wheel off the road on a narrow country lane.

Nice! I'm desperate to take my Punto out for a blast on some twisty roads. I've had it nigh on 6 years now, and it still puts a smile on my face. [emoji2] It's horrible to see it sat outside and not being able to drive it, especially as it's only just been serviced and MOTd! [emoji852][emoji852]
