'The Trooper' is an excellent one (y)

I remember we discussed the lyrics with a friend once and could not come to a conclusion about what war it refers to.

The poster shows Eddie with torn Union Jack (i.e. he fights for Britain - what an ally :D) wearing a red military coat. These coats probably were not used after 19th century. The last conflict where "The Trooper" could feel the horses breath was probably WWI.
Muskets (i.e. muzzle-loaded infantry rifles) were not used after, say, 1870.
The mighty roar of Russian guns suggests the opposite side of the conflict.

The result was that we came to a conclusion that the hero of the song dies during a Crimean war

"You'll take my life, but I'll take yours too.
You'll fire your musket as I run you through.
But when you're waiting for the next attack.
You better stand, there's no turning back."

Heck, I've got no idea what war it was (if any) referring to - it just makes me drive fast :D

Just thought of another crazy song that makes me want to drive fast when I hear it:

Outkast (with Rage Against the Machine) - Bombs over Baghdad :slayer:

I heard "Tail Gunner" by Iron Maiden is the song most responsible for causing accidents

And one of the Judas Priest songs (can't remember which) was alleged to be responsible for making people kill themselves  There was a court case about it some years back, and quite rightly it was thrown out.

Then there was all the 'play backwards' vinyl records that had hidden Satanic meanings. Black Sabbath were often cited, though it was all a load of rubbish. I mean, some people have too much time on their hands if they go looking for that

Oh, and another good 'drive fast' song:

Feeder - Lost and Found :slayer:
