lol, ta mate :p, it'll soon be lowered! gotta remember, theres fook all weight in it at mo, and the uno shells arent exactly the heaviest of things! when its got engine, cage, interior and wound to the floor on coilovers it'll be low, trust me hehe ;)

as for the bumpers, they'll be staying black and origianl like uno turbo bumpers should be, colour coded does look good, but i prefer old skool black like they were new!

ta for the comments on the brakes, as for the rears, the standard UT rear discs and calipers will be more than up to the job. even as standard, when the UT came out, they always said the rear discs were a bit too much for the Ut and not nessecery! so, i'll be leaving them as they are, but new grooved discs and some uprated pads.

i had 16" compomotive mo's made to order, and also made to fit over the brembo calipers and dicscs of a coupe. so will fit on no probs hehe

and, yes, my thoughts were exactly that "bloody hell those are massive!"

Good to see this moving along Dunc, and those callipers will work a treat (previous convo with you) they are the same (or near as dammit) as integrale EVO callipers apart from the integrale ones have a raised "LANCIA" on them rather than a Brembo sticker, the Brembo marking is saved for inside the calliper. By the way stickers are replaceable should you wish to change the colour of them or even repaint silver. :cool:

The rear brakes on any car do very little work, but in a FWD car which has a weight distribution favouring the front the do so little, my old R5GTT's rear brakes still has the same pads on it that I fitted 7 years ago when i fitted Black Diamond drilled disc's, they still look like they have had no wear on them and that was with brand new callipers being fitted at same time. :eek:

you may have 1950kg's of sweedish brick on the same track as you when you finish, I am thinking of sticking the resonably good B230K block into the 240 saloon, and putting a B230FT (full turbo) with some interesting mod's into the 740 estate, stock I'm looking at 200bhp (after rebuilding it and blueprinting, or modding internals, depends what I can get), following a stupidly massive (probably undrivable sort of power) volvo truck turbo (common as well) hybrid, and a few other choice mod's it'll be looking at 400-480bhp, problem is the stock B230FT crank won't hold more than about 350bhp on a regular basis, neither will the gearbox :(

A more resonable build and one that will still be drivable will kick 280bhp, and 330lb.ft, can do it for about £550 for the latter aswell(y)

or maybe put the 230FT in something smaller? FIat tempra etc

you can get the paint and decals in a kit on ebay ;) a guy called ubernine or something like that. i got my abarth ones from him, good guy and quick delievry

charlie, gonna paint em red with the brembo written in white, just worried the stickers will come off! lol

apple, when is brooklands? if its end of may/june then i hope so! fingers crossed!

savage, heres the lastest update below ;)

right, had the day off work, so started prepping the shell ready to go for its respray!

heres what we started with, me getting the front bumper off, had to be cut off cos the bolts were all rusted up!

once this was off, i had to work out which parts needed angle grinding off the shell to get my intercooler to fit, and luckerly only the centre bumper bracket had to go :p

after this, me and my mate started on the inside,chipping off all the ghey sound proofing that fiat fitted, took ages to get all this off but hey, its gotta be done!

we then had a cuppa tea and cracked back on. i want to make sure all the holes are drilled before it goes for its respray, so fitted and drilled the holes for my alloy battery tray in the boot

after this, we got the drill out again and drilled the new holes ready for my mk1 hatch to go on, this was a bit of a bugger, also fitted the mk1 boot catch and release

^^^ also fitted the bumper temperally due to it getting damaged in the garden and mum moaning about it!

heres a quick photo at the end of the day, well about 2:45pm cos i had to go to derby to meet alex's mum (ghostwkd) to give her my UT discs and calipers which ghost has bought off me :D

then, it was a case of tidying up when i got home, reoganise my litte shed and clear some crap out and unneccesery things like interior plastics hehe! :D

thats all so far folks! but im goin as hard as i can at it!
