Hi All,
Just joined here to get advice on where to start on my quest.
Originally from Dublin Ireland, moved over to the UK two years ago to follow a career in Watchmaking.
30 years old, Always had an interest in cars, especially classics. Growing up with my grandfather, having owned both the MkI and MK2 Fiat Uno played a huge part in my interest
Sadly, there's not many left around and it's been a good few years since I last saw one.
I've been thinking of getting one to use as a daily driver, preferably a MK2 but before I begin the hunt, looking for advice on where to start.
Don't have access to a garage for storage as of yet, basic mechanical understanding and have a few friends that are mechanics. This would be my first classic car.
My friend got me a Hays workshop manual to start with
As I've never gotten a chance to drive one, I think that would be the best place to start. Just wondering if anyone that owns an Uno would like to meet up sometime, I live in Henley on Thames but happy to commute.
Thanks,
Keith.
