Technical Upgrading Standard Speedo to Digital

What’s curious is that on your “00” image you’ve also got 0-5 on the right, in fact you’ve got that on both.

I wonder if I change my byte 65 to “20” whether it’ll stay on 0-50-100? I’d rather have 0-5 I think.

My car is a 1.2 Lounge though, maybe it’s different in Hybrids etc.

How odd? I never noticed, I was distracted by noting that I wasn't able to get any obvious changes when setting it to '40' & '60'.
However there are quite a few other setting in the Byte Table that may come into play when making changes to byte 65 and I started to compile a spreadsheet, but it all takes time. There's a thread on it somewhere I'll try to add a link later.

Update: finding-the-elusive-byte-data-list-proposal

Reading the list reminded me that my readout probably wont be the identical of yours as my Body ECU is older than my Speedo cluster and MES says the speedo is the wrong component (I did look at replacing the BCM, but only got as far as buying one, and it's sat on my bench)

As expected changing my display to “20” got me the thin fonts, but the eco index thing on the right stayed as 0-50-100.

Must be another byte that affects that?

More than likely... have you looked at (in the spreadsheet)?
'world' byte#107
'engine type' byte#81 & byte 42
and byte#44
I believe these should reflect your car .... but ...
What car have you got, out of interest? If it’sa hybrid then maybe that’s the difference?
