Haha! Always gets a few laughs :D
Yeh, maybe come and see it at the mid month if ones happening and I'm driving by then. :)
I just want my lowering springs fitted. I'll ask my Dad if he can get some compressors from work or something so we can fit them asap.

yer maybe i will lol,

tbh its not neccesary for spring compressors its doable without. but a little bit more dangerous and hard to locate the bits that went ping lol
you can tell how i did some lol

Plastic should be easier, but its sods law there will be some complication

Does the punto have the belt cover that bolts to the head? Found when i had mine off, back to black on it makes a load of difference
Yeh it does. It's pretty black already though. lol
I think I got a really old pic when I first got car. one min matey

Don't laugh..

I wouldn't know what to do or where to start or where to put it even! (regarding adrians post)
Would be beneficial though.
I have a plan though, once this engine dies (which at 75k, most likely be soon), dependent on how it has been cared for; but judging at how many previous owners it has had on the logbook, prob not much...
I would want to buy a 75sx or 85sx and swap everything, steering wheel, exhaust, alloys, seats, spoiler. Everything possible then I would have a nicer looking SX with more power too than this 60. Get GSR.
I would love puntoelxbertones's (where i get extreme from? lol) 85 he is selling but I think to insure a 16v would be crazy. It's only got 55k on it too!

:(

Well you probably cant have a big engine for a while because of insurance. If you like the car and plan on keeping the car for a few years you might want to start building a fancy engine in the garage. Would be a nice project and you will learn lots. If I had the space I would have bought a 2 liter block to work on now.

I cleaned and painted the entire underside of my car the other day because the jack points where starting to rust and id found surface rust under the fuel filter splash guard. I did my front arches and chasis legs when the engine was out. Ill get the back arches, subframe, behind the rear and front bumpers done soon. Then front subframe.

I guess we spoke too soon about the flipping engine!!!!!
I'm new to engine parts so please correct me if I make a mistake with my terminology lol
We were replacing both the camshaft seal and the crankshaft seal.
To get to the crankshaft seal you have to remove the crank? (lol) so in order to remove it we had to jam something to stop it from spinning, this being a chisel, just to prevent it from spinning, but as the pressure built up, it ended up cracking the oil pump which attaches to the sump.
Now we are looking for an oil pump! At first we thought it was all connected to the engine sop my Dad was thinking that we would have to get a new engine (Yay for me as would be fitting a 16ver in!) however Haynes manual shows that you can replace it. :(
One on eBay for £20. Still would prefer to fit a 16v in! lol
