looks good.

you dont need a bigger engine though dan, honestly. Run this one for a few months, get some experiance and then buy something faster.

I sound like a right old fart now...
yeh your right. A lot better on insurance too.
I'm in the middle of lowering my car :D
Borrowed some spring compressors from the garage on the main street as my Dad is good friends with the owner.
Just waiting for my Dad to get home to help me. :D

Nice. Is the engine running again Dan?
Yeh Adrian, we built it all up again and heard an annoying rattling, or tapping as it would seem.
We originally timed it up wrong, one tooth out! I wish the timing marks were clearer to see! Bloody Fiat!
So we timed it up wrong at first, we then adjusted it correctly but heard this tapping, as to what I was talking about at first, my Dad thinks a valve may have been hit or something but now, the sound has completley gone and it's perfectly running (until next week)
I reckon because the engine was completely oil less due to us removing the oil pump+filter and having the car not ran for 2 weeks.
I'm just so happy it's all sorted now, tomorrow I am focusing on spending some time cleaning up the bay, removing rocker cover and smoothing and painting with hammerite, then replacing the gasket too. Then cleaning up the ecu holder etc.

We have done the rear (giggity) tonight but doing the front tomorrow.
It looks awesome!

No no no it is an extremely good example of an mk1 ive stated this before!

Im just a new driver too (well 2 months or so) and when i passed first thing i done was jumped in the car that what passing was for, cars an acheivement in itself, but surely a cars to drive no?

lol my dad said that to me before i got my 1.2 to 104.5 bhp

Im looking forward to seeing it lowered, i think its one of the nicest mk1 puntos i have seen. Its not over the top, all the mods just seem to work. I think youll get what i mean (y)

Thanks for that :)
I could show you the rear of it but I think I would prefer to show you it all lowered.
Me and my mate had a right job on today removing the front suspension. The two bolts at either side to remove from the bit that turns from the actual suspension arm, sorry about lack of knowledgable vocab, im new to this.
well as you can imagine, they are low down, suseptible to water and have pretty much rusted on. So luckily the garage man who lent me his compressors came down my drive to drop some keys off for a car offered to pick it up tomorrow to get them off for me at his garage with some, forgotten the name, oxgen something, really hot gas to remove them.
So will be on tomorrow.
Acomplished nothing today woooo :slayer:
