Re: What tyres?

I have the 5 door Abarth as well, currently on Pirelli P7000 215/45/17. They are about half worn on the front after 12K. Only had the car 3 weeks so not thown it around enough bends to comment on ultimate handling, but I'm managing to still keep on the road as I write :D

I've looked for prices and they are around £100 each. I know the cost of good tyres is a big hit in one go, but considering that they are all that stands between you and that tree on the bend it just ain't worth skimping!

Re: What tyres?

Mine had original pirelli p7000's on i changed 2 months ago to vredestein ultrac's, much better than the pirelli's and by the reviews i have read, they are better than mitchelins and others around the same price (£115 a corner.)

Re: What tyres?

I've just bought some new 17" fiat alloys (50900663) :( from local dealer with Pirelli P zero neros on them. There is a huge difference from my dunlops. By the way paid £700. Please tell me I have not been ripped off!!!

Seems about right right from a dealer. You should've checked the internet & car accessory shops before buying though. People like Demon tweeks, Carnoisseur or even Halfords they often have loads fo deals on wheel & tyre packages.

Re: What brand of tyres is best?

thanks for the links, they were really useful. Basically, I am not looking for a great performance tyre (it's only a 1.2), probably the attribute i'm looking for most is a quiet tyre. To be honest the Dunlops are quieter than the Firestones I had on before, but don't know how they compare across brands.

The michelin tyres are the most expensive by a long way, and its just a question of whether they are worth £10-£15 more than a Pirelli, brigdestone etc

The wheel size is 205/55/16 incidentally.

TYRES (noise)

Pirelli tyres 16in alloys, still a fair bit of noise at speed.
is there a recomended tyre to cut down speed noise, or is it part and parcel?????

Re: Rubber... ooh err missus

I hated the Pirellis on mine! And will never buy a Pirelli again, because they were c**p on the Ulysse as well.

I currently run the Bridgestone Potenzas RE04s on that size - been very pleased with them, but over your budget.

Tyres: Pirelli P7000 215/45/17

Hi Guys, I have just got some new alloys which came with new Pirelli Tyres, however the tyre profile isn't acceptable for my car with the bodykit on etc. So i have just ordered some more tyres to replace these. Does anyone know how much these tyres are worth? I think the stilo comes with these tyres, hence the post on here. I will also post a message up in the classified section as soon as i have a ball park figure of what to sell these tyres for. Thanks in advance.

re: Tyres: Pirelli P7000 215/45/17

Whats the new size 225/45/17 then your speedo will read true cos with the 225s you have the same rolling radius as the original 15" wheels/tyres well at least thats how it works out for the 1.6 :) and the 215s cost most places £85 a corner

What does everyone else have and what would you recommend?

If you need a whole set mate why not go BIGGER?

I happen to know someone selling a set of BRAND NEW 19" TSW KYALAMI's with 215/35r19 Pirelli P-NERO tyres! 0 miles on them....wobbly bolts and locking bolts included.. CHEAP TOO! :D

Re: Tyre reccomendations.

Hey Everyone

I think this summer ill fit some new tyres on my front wheels. Been checking blackcircles.com and have chosen a couple of otions being:

Pirelli P6000
Firestone F700 or TZ200 FS

Would anyone out there have any recommendations? I think the most id like to spend is £60 per tyre.

Also am I able to fit larger wheels on my alloys? Or would i need larger alloys?

Thanks for the help!

You can't go far wrong with P6000s and there are some good deals around.

Don't mess around changing tyre specs - it's far more important to keep all 4 the same.

New Tyres...

Hey all,
Need new front tyres for my Stilo Active Sport.
Currently got the Dunlop Sport SP2000 205/55 R16V that came with the car.
I'm looking at some Pirelli P7s from blackcircles.co.uk for £79.79 fully fitted.
Just wondering what tyres you lot would recommend, and where to get them from?

Cheers,
Dan

Re: New Tyres...

Well on a recommendation from a few friends I went for the Pirelli P7s, will let you all know how I get on with them.
Cheers,
Dan
