although you aint giving her too much poke in the video you can see just how torque'y she is when you mildly punch the throttle a cpl of times in the vid, LOVE it mate

dont think I quite reached full throttle. The video is basically me pulling onto a duel carriage way then getting stuck behind a car lol

Some unexplained problems with MS I recon?

yeh i thought the small missfire i had was a fuel problem but i looks close at a datalog and noticed the ecu seeing the engine go from around 4krpm to 2k then back to 4k in a tenth of a second.

obviously this is not right. but the ecu did not see this as a problem (if i sees to many or to little teeth it logs an error)

hmm. firmware? Clock crystal?

Unlikely but could still be signal filtering, is software filtering enabled?

firmware... latest two and the beta.

ms2 has its clock built into the chip so wont be that (plus i dont have any other timing issues)

Im starting to wonder if its the hall sensor.... the datasheet shows machined timing wheel while the cento one is a pressed one who the teeth are a bit rounded...

Bolt the wheel to a drill or lathe etc, and spin it up at the same distance it's mounted on the car. Should be testable and repeatable that way:

what im going to do now is start turning the sensor around a couple of degrees every time i drive it... wondering if its positioned wrong

It could be the positioning as you say, or the teeth, or it could be some noise being introduced at specific rpm.

Does it rev up passed the glitch?

One option if its the tooth pattern is to just cut loads of it out and have 4 little tabs and make a 4-1 wheel or similar :idea:
