Tuning turbo time!

First of all im going to say... my rear mount turbo is on hold for unknown amount of time (i will try it at some point just to see if it works)

anyway... I now own a unfinished high boost turboed cento.
it is a MPI punto 75 engine with decomp plate (will be replaced before first run with 16valve pistons)

the car is set up with megasquirt using ford edis ignition gear. I have NO idea how any of this works so im in the process of converting it back to fiat coils and VR pickup.

The car has some of the worse wiring every with many faults. (all the wires are black which dont help!)
the car came with TWO megasquirts. both with injector driver failures, both ECU's have been repaired and some wiring replaced and im now stress testing the one to be fitted.

I have still yet to test the injectors in the car as so far i have not found any cause for injector driver failure.

yeh im so glad I know my way around a megasquirt now. took me about 5mins to figure out what was dead on the megasquirt.

wont be on the road for some time tho! the reason im converting it to fiat coils is thats what my car runs. once i have proven its all working and had what i want done before dropping it into my car.

btw the car was "born" in 2007 by someone called Scott and mostly done by Hi-tech motorsport.

ahhhhh good find! the bloke i had it off has spend another 2 grand on it trying to get it running. :S
its only done a few extra miles since scot owned it

sent an email to scot to see if hes still about. could do with knowing how much boost this has been run up to.

right been doing research. whipped out the injectors (i thought they would be standard 75 injectors!) as i never trusted the old add of "280cc injectors" turns out they are 227cc/min bosch jobbies, seems a lot when standards are only 140 anyone think thats over the top and might cause a few troubles at low rpms?

tested all the injectors and all seem fine so still not sure whats killed the drivers

high or low resistance? If low, check the flyback is working and the MS settings are sane with regards to PWM

they are the same as the original injectors... around 15ohms so high impedance.
the part of the ecu thats died (as far as i can tell) is the transistors that do the peak and hold thingy for low impedance injectors.

if i connect the faulty transistor back up the injectors open at full duty cycle and the transistors get hot.
with them removed the ecu works perfectly! even connected up some bulbs (as in the pic) to put big loads on and they dont even get warm.

im quite confused. maybe there was a short somewhere while the wiring was on the car

yes, the classified add on here says its got a pump from a fiat coupe 20v turbo. I checked and its the same as the one in my car... so its all good. gonna fit my pressure gauge anyway
